Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I was wondering if there are any issues with this plate twisting while on camera, since it is a universal plate?

A: The QRP plates are the most solid I've ever used, even with minimal tightening. This is partially due to the rubber-and-cork pads.

Q: 2. Will this work with a RRS lever clamp?

A: The prior reply doesn't actually answer the question. The FLM SRB clamps are universal, and knowing that the FLM plate works with the FLM QRB clamp says nothing about whether or not the plate works with the RRS lever clamps.

Q: 3. Can the locking pin be removed?

A: The locking pin on the FLM QLB-80 Quick Release Clamp cannot be removed. However, if you squeeze the pin between a pair of pliers and push it down into the body of the clamp, the locking pin will be ineffective and out of the way.

Q: 4. Will this fit on the Arca-Swiss Monoball P0? I know the 60mm diameter is a perfect fit, but I'm worried about the knob on the clamp clearing the lever on at the top of the P0. I know Sunwayfoto makes a clamp specifically designed for the A-S P0 that has an extra-long clamp knob so that it extends beyond the possible obstruction of the P0's top lever ... do I need something like that, or will this FLM SRB-60 be fine?

A: We see no issue if you use this with the Arca-Swiss Monoball P0 with Panning System B&H # ARMPOPS. In fact, we are of the opinion that this clamp will work better than OEM or other 3rd party clamps.

Q: 5. I have Feisol 3442 with center column and P0 ball head, so the legs fold up over the ballhead and QR plate to make a very compact package. Do the protrusions on this plate allow the legs to fold completely? Because of the position of the QR knob, bubble level, and corners on my current square plate it is pretty fiddly to get it all lined up and fit into the Feisol carry bag.

A: The FLM SRB-60 Quick Release Clamp is very close. It has not been tested but if the clamp is 60mm it should just work.

Q: 6. Can I use this on a FOBA Superball? My current FOBA clamp attaches with 2 countersunk screws 45mm apart

A: Yes, the super ball offers a 3/8 center stud screw and will allow the quick release plate to adapt nicely.

Q: 7. How do you remove the safety pin?

A: Hi, the safety pin is not removable--it is spring-loaded and will retract into the body of the clamp if not in use.

Q: 8. Does it come with any screw to for mounting to the FLM ball head?

A: For the FLM QLB-80 Quick Release Clamp, screws would need to be purchased separately.

Q: 9. Would this plate fit perfectly tight (That is no play at all) to the Arri Broadcast plate for Canon C300 MII?

A: While we have not physically tested that exact pairing, that plate is specifically designed for VCT style tripod adapters.

Q: 10. The one I got seems to be the same basic part with some differences. The one in the photo says made in Germany and has threaded holes in the side (I'm not sure what that's for) and mine doesn't say where it's made and has the typical small threaded Safety stop screw holes ...(was just interrupted for the obligatory robot check) ... which it didn't come with. So my questions are was mine made in Germany and was it supposed to come with the safety screws?

A: The currents FLM QRP-50 Quick Release Plate only have the brand, model and serial number engraved on the buttom of the plate. The threads on each side of the plate connected to a product that have been discontinued. FLM use to make an antitwist bar called FLM QRP-Stop.
