The K 5600 Lighting Softube is an accessory for the Joker-Bug 400 Light that transforms the narrow light into a soft, even, and linear source. The Softube traps the light and then uses reflections to emit the light. The unit consists of an attachment ring, a translucent Joker Gel, and a mirror cap. Additionally, it includes a case for storage of the Softube and its parts.

A: The K 5600 Lighting 800W ballast control system does get warm to touch but does not get hot.

Q: 2. Does the 32 interior height include the case lid? The new ColorSource LED Lekos require 34 clearance, rather than the 29 clearance of our conventional Lekos. Will the extra 2 fit in the lid?

A: The interior dimensions do include the lid clearance.

A: The Kit includes the ballast which is wireless DMX, ALS, Dimming, 1000Hz

A: Yes, the Hollyland Pyro S 4K HDMI/SDI Wireless Video Transmission System will fit into the Hollyland Carrying Case for Mars 300/400/400S/400S Pro.

Q: 5. Can I use this bulb as a replacement for a 1000w rated lamp that I have been running with a g9.5 1000w tungsten bulb/ Id like to switch to daylight bulbs, but keep the same photo lights. Is the possible?

A: No, HMI lamps require a specially designed fixture with a special transformer (ballast) that regulates the power going to the fixture.

Q: 6. Does this have a fan in either the head or the power supply? How loud is it if present?

A: Yes, both the head and power supply have extremely quiet fans.

Q: 7. Does this head work with an old ballast? Does it come with a beaker and and a lamp?

A: This head will work with our other 800w ballasts. this is only the bug head w/9' cable. It does not include a beaker or lamp, nor reflector (beamer). You would need to order the beakers and lamp separately. If you wish to have the entire kit the part number is K0800JB2 which includes the new wireless DMX ballast. We also offer the K0800JB2v1 which comes with the non DMX version of our ballast. In addition we have the 800w Zoom kit K0800JBZ2 as well as our JoLeko kit that has only the Joker2 head, lamp, new ballast and Joker2 Bug-a-beam adapter complete kit. # K0800JL

Q: 8. Will this be fine for the new mars 400S Pro II?

A: Yes, the Hollyland Carrying Case for Mars 300/400/400S/400S Pro is compatible with the new Hollyland Mars 400S PRO SDI/HDMI Wireless Video Transmission System.

Q: 9. It says that you can dim the lights, and it uses Pulse Width Modulation. Curious, if shooting Slow Motion work 120P to 240P, would these show any signs of fliker from the PWM? Thanks!

A: You should not have any flicker at those rates. The ballast is adjustable up to 100,000 Hz . The ballast is factory set at 66.67 hz. Even at 24kHz you would be fine.

Q: 10. Does this ever need to be replaced, does it wear out?

A: This K5600 Pyrex Safely Glass for Alpha 4K is generally long lasting.

I use this for my Nikon D3 with 70-200 lens. It securely houses the rig, but more importantly, allows for quick and fuss free removal so it's ready for action. This is a really well made, well designed, and useful piece of equipment. 5

I purchased a Nikon refurbished 200-500/5.6 from B&H (which was in LN condition). I then purchased this Lightroom case to protect the lens. Even with the lens shade attached, it fits perfectly. The rugged case construction affords tons of padding on all sides. 5

Initially, I purchased this for its designed purpose..... a 400mm f/2.8. Having found that lens too heavy for my liking, I traded it for the lighter 500mm version. Surprisingly, this case fits the new lens quite easily, without removing the zippered compartment in the top. Naturally, it won't take a 1D series body as well, but that's what the 600mm version of the case is for. Beautifully made product, but needs a better shoulder strap. 5

This lens case is superbly made and a terrific way to transport and protect long lenses. As with a previous post, I use this for the canon 300mm f/2.8 lens. Why not the 300mm dedicated version? This case for the 400mm is 4 inches longer internally and that allows me to transport the lens to a location with the camera (1D Mark III) and any tele-converters attached without needing to remove the Velcro secured, internal zipper, storage pocket. I want that protected internal pocket in place even if I have a TC and camera attached and I certainly want to avoid the necessity of attaching the lens at a dusty location. This lens case does a great job with room for flexibility of configuration. The fit is still snug but it is easy to remove the camera/TC/lens. Its water-resistant and the cushioned handle is very nice. 5

I carry my Nikon 400 2.8 in it and it has room left over to carry a rain cover and my foul weather gear. Also comfortable to carry on shoulder or handle. 5
