Introducing the VocoPro SilentPA-IFB-12 One-Way Wireless IFB Communication System, a budget-friendly and versatile option for film production or live and recorded broadcasts. This system offers similar clear sound and long-range capabilities as leading wireless IFB systems, but at a fraction of the cost. The SilentPA-IFB-12 includes two transmitters for the director and stage manager, plus twelve receivers for the crew—with the option to purchase an additional package that can accommodate up to 30 receivers. Multiple transmitters with different frequencies can also be used to send audio to different teams on set.
The SilentPA-IFB operates in the 900 MHz band, free from TV station interference, using UHF technology for improved reliability and range compared to VHF or 2.4 GHz systems. User-friendly and easy to set up, the system allows for easy switching between 16 channels on the receiver or transmitter without any complicated synchronization.
The bodypack transmitter accepts a headset mic, while the bodypack receiver features two dedicated headphone/audio outputs. Both transmitter and receiver are powered via two AA batteries, either alkaline or rechargeable (batteries available separately). The system also has an internal recharge circuit that allows for simultaneous operation and charging of batteries on the bodypack transmitter and receiver via 5V USB charging ports.

Q: 1. What single-side wired mono headphones are recommended for use with this?
A: Consider the Otto Engineering V1-10437: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/300734-REG/Otto_Engineering_V110437_Single_IFB_Earphone_Kit.html
Q: 2. Additionally, is it possible to run audio out of the FX6 to the Comtek without using the headphone output? Ideally the shooter would use that to monitor audio levels on the spot, while the producer listens in from afar. Could I run audio out from SDI to the Comtek?
A: The Comtek PR 216 is a receiver. You need to go into a compatible Comtek transmitter to be able to do that, like the M-216 and that does not take SDI input.
Q: 3. Would this unit be suitable for bal audio distribution from mixer to powered speakers? (sound reinforcement without spkr or audio lines from mixer to powered cabs) thank you
A: This system worked well for in-ear monitors but we used this system and it worked a lot better than the vocopro system: https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=Alto%20Stealth%20Wireless%20-%20Stereo%20Wireless%20System%20for%20Active%20Loudspeakers%20%20&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma&Top+Nav-Search= target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=Alto%20Stealth%20Wireless%20-%20Stereo%20Wireless%20System%20for%20Active%20Loudspeakers%20%20&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma&Top+Nav-Search=/a

A: The product has a sturdy housing, and doesn't necessarily have to be racked.
Q: 5. Is this compatible with the plug on HMa transmitter?
A: Yes, the Lectrosonics IFBR1B Bodypack IFB Receiver with Charger can receive signal from a Lectrosonics HMa transmitter on the same frequency range set to IFB Mode.
Q: 6. Will this work with iPhone 11?
A: Using the Apple headphone adpater this will work.
Q: 7. Will the sony MDR-7506work with this?
A: Yes, the Sony MDR-7506 Headphones can be used with the Comtek PR-216 Beltpack IFB Receiver.
Q: 8. Is this ok to use for bag work? Would the proximity of this transmitter interfere with the receivers, I'm also carrying in my audio bag? Would the LMa model be a better solution?
A: I don't think you have anything to worry about. The systems you are using are about as good as it gets. They are all frequency agile and the system overcomes channel noise by digital encoding and decoding audio in the transmitter and receiver. That being said no wireless can be 100% fool proof. But what you are using is about as close as it gets. Even in the worst case scenario if you had an issue. You can always take a receiver out of your bag and put it in your back pocket. I think you should be fine and the LMa is unnecessary.
Q: 9. Will they work with sony uwp transmitters?
A: The IFBlue IFBR1C Bodypack IFB Receiver requires a specific IFB signal transmitted from a compatible Lectrosonics transmitter on the same frequency range and will not work with transmitters from other brands such as Sony.
Q: 10. wma files?
A: This product cannot read and playback .wma files. Converting the .wma files to MP3 files is recommended. Follow this link to learn how to perform this conversion:http://bit.ly/1IRqwAI
