A: Benro GH5C Carbon Fiber Gimbal Head with PL100LW Plate is slightly larger than Benro Mini Gimbal Head Carbon Fiber Pl100N Plate. Their dimension are Benro GH5C 9.7/5'' x 8'' (LxW). Benro Mini Gimbal 8.7/5'' x 6.7/5'' (LxW).

Q: 4. Can I used it like a regular tripod head when not using tele lens or for that I will need an additional ball head?

A: No, the Benro GH2F Folding Gimbal Head with Arca-Type Quick Release Plate cannot be used as a regular tripod head. You would need a separate ball head or pan/tilt head if you want to use the camera without a telephoto lens with a tripod foot or tripod collar attached. The rotating arm can be removed and used separately as an L-bracket for Arca-type compatible tripod heads, but a separate Arca-compatible head would be needed.

A: The 488RC2 has a 3/8 -16 stem. The C60 clamp will not fit directly. You need a different insert (C3816INSERT) from promediagear. I did not like the quality, knob rotation is rough, mounting surface wasn't flat.

A: Yes, the Desmond Arca-Swiss Compatible Quick Release Plate (Black, 2-Pack) can mount to the bottom 1/4"-20 of the SmallRig V-Lock Battery Plate.

This is an update to my first review which I posted the day my Gimbal Head arrived and before it was field tested. The final verdict. Still a 5-star rating and still totally awesome. Field tested both as a side mount gimbal and as a cradle mount. Both are smooth and easy to balance with a long lens. It's the best of both worlds in 1 compact easy to carry Gimbal head. Easy to setup either and easy to carry attached to tripod with camera mounted. I'll be keeping an eye out for this going on sale again so both my tripods can have this awesome gimbal head attached. 5

Love this gimbal where it is foldable and more compact for travel. Perfect for video work. It supports my 600mm telephoto well both upright and sideway mounted positions (see photos) on a tripod or monopod. The movement at both axis is smooth and slow that is ideal for video work. 5
