Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this hood rotate clockwise / counterclockwise, or is there some level of resistance or locking to prevent unwanted spinning out of normal position?

A: The Sensei 62mm Quick Clip Lens Hood is a non dedicated lens hood. It screws on like a filter and unlike dedicated hoods it does not lock into position.

Q: 2. Are you able to attach a closeup diopter to the front of this system? If so, what is the front mm thread size?

A: The Freewell V2 Magnetic Hybrid Variable ND with Circular Polarizer Filter (3 to 7-Stop) does not have front threads, so you cannot mount a close-up diopter to the front.

Q: 3. This filter works with the K2 system?

A: The Freewell Magnetic IRND1000 Filter for Eiger Matte Box System (10-Stop) is specifically designed for and only compatible with the Eiger Matte Box Filter System. You would need this version for the K2 system: https://bhpho.to/4eZydKH

Q: 4. Is it possible to remove date stamp from photo/video?

A: Page 18 in the manual. In the camera menu select TIME STAMP Choose ON or OFF

Q: 5. will this filter fit a Canon 24-105L

A: The Nikon 77mm Circular Polarizer II Filter will be compatible with the Canon 24-105mm lens. The lens has a 77mm filter thread.

Q: 6. Will this fit on Lensbaby Velvet 56mm f/1.6 lense? I have a 65mm UV filter on.

A: The Sensei 62mm Quick Clip Lens Hood is not compatible with a 65mm filter.

Q: 7. Is this compatible with the QR plates used on the Manfrotto Advanced Compact Tripod (200PL plates?)

A: Yes ALZO Quick Release System is compatible with Manfrotto 200PL plates.

Q: 8. Is there an adapter so the 112 mm circular polarizer can be used on other lenses, such as 77 mm?

A: Unfortunately, a step down ring from 112-77mm is not currently offered.

Q: 9. Conflicting information. Product Description claims that you can reverse the hood bu the reviewer says that that it doesn't? Also, The product description claims that you can use a 62mm filter (on a 62mm Lens hood) but a reviewer states that it takes a bigger filter? What is the correct statement in both Cases?

A: I had to use this lens hood on my Sony Rx10 II because Sony doesn't sell replacement hoods(!). This hood easily reverses and I can use a 62mm protective filter with the hood in place. If one were to use a 62mm circular polarizer or ND fader, it is very difficult to rotate the filter since the filter threads are recessed deeply into the hood mount. This is the case with my thin Cokin Harmonie circular polarizer. It is probably easier to use a thicker circular polarizer with this hood mount.

Q: 10. hello this works in a 70-300mm of nikon?

A: Hi, this lens hood isn't long enough for a telephoto lens like a 70-300mm; this is the lens hood for a Nikon 70-300mm lens: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/207367-USA/Nikon_4696_HB_26_Bayonet_Lens_Hood.html
