The Go2Nova Hand Controller 8410 from iOptron offers the latest in automated tracking technology. A: The base of the 8 mini pier is 6 in diameter. You need at least a 6 + support base to properly install it. I have mine mounted on a CGE Pro tripod. I do not believe it will fit properly on a CG4 tripod. Lee in PA
