  A: I agree with Ronald Z. I bought generic batteries, but either these or the original Panasonic battery all yield about 2.5 hours with normal use. When the camera is not in use for two weeks the battery still has plenty of charge. For our use I would recommend the power adapter with the dummy battery, and check the energy settings to avoid automatic shut-off.
