At 5.4 lb, the Pro Series LED1000 Bi-Color LED Light Panel from Dracast is an ideal choice for location work, interviews, and small sets where color accuracy, control, and flicker-free output are of major importance. This 12 x 12" panel is significantly larger than the Pro Series LED500 unit. Variable color temperature from 3200 to 5600K means you can quickly match the prevailing ambient or artificial light balance with a simple twist of a knob while others are still applying filters. Dimming is equally convenient via another knob that adjusts the light intensity from 0 to 100% with negligible color shift. Additionally, its high CRI of 96 renders colors with precision and fidelity. The low electrical draw of 60W means a timely return on your investment.

The durable aluminum frame is supported by a sturdy, U-shaped yoke with locking knobs on each side and a standard 5/8" receiver. The LED1000 can be used worldwide, powered by the included 100 to 240 VAC adapter or optional V-mount 14.8 VDC batteries. Accessories include optional 4-way barndoors for contouring and control of the LED1000's 45° beam angle. A carry case is included for convenient storage and portability.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the 95wh battery have built in charger?

A: Thanks to all of you who replied. --- Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at info@dracobroadcast.com.

Q: 2. I have decided to buy this 1000 plus daylight fixture or the corresponding 1000 plus bi-color fixture. Traditional thought is to go with daylight because you lose half the LED's on the bi-color and bi-color is not necessary because you can use Gels and or adjust camera settings. However, since the 1000 plus is so powerful, I will essentially have a 500 daylight and a 500 LED tungsten which seems to plenty of brightness so I'm now considering bucking conventional wisdom and going with the bi-color. Just by reviews alone it appears as though the daylight is twice as popular. However, it's my understanding that the bi-color just recently came out which may skew the results. I'm an amateur videographer/photographer so need all the help I can get. Hence, for general all-around use would you go with the daylight or the bi-color? Thanks in advance! John

A: John, It sounds like you don't really need the full power of the LED 1000, as you mention the equivalence to two LED 500 units. That being the case, I would say that, for you, the bi-color would be the best option. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at support@dracobroadcast.com.

Q: 3. Can the Dracast Complete Remote Newsroom come with LED2000 Bi light and LED1000 Panels with V mount. Also is there a traveling case for this kit?

A: The LED2000 Fresnel can work with the Dracast Battery Extender, BH #DRBD4BS which connects to the 3 pin 24V connection on the back of the light and allows for the use of 4 V mount batteries at once. The LED1000 panels have a Gold Mount plate, which can accept an adapter such as the Core SWX AG-PS Gold Mount to V-Mount Adapter Plate with D-Tap, BH # COAGPS so you can use V mount batteries. This kit is meant for studio use, so there is no specific case to hold all of the gear. This would involve getting separate cases for each fixture and the stands. https://bhpho.to/2Q1iIrq https://bhpho.to/2Y7zxp4

Q: 4. If I’m using a 220 - 240V bulb on the Lamp holder will I need a Stabilizer to stop the bulb from bursting?

A: While I am not sure what you mean by a "stabilizer," the Studio Essentials Tabletop Fluorescent 2-Light Product Photography Kit, B&H # STFLU102, is listed as compatible for use with 110-120 VAC, 60 Hz electrical voltage. It does not indicate that it would be compatible with 220-240V 50 Hz electrical voltage.

Q: 5. When using the Dracast semi-rigide filter set with the barn doors, can you stack multiple filters in the designated slot, for example, a 1/2 CTO + frost diffusion? Is it worth it paying extra for these filters vs regular gels?

A: Claude, Yes, you CAN stack multiple filters. They are thin enough that you should be able to put two or three in there. More than that will be likely to reduce the light output below a usable threshold. -- Also, if you have any other technical questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time

Q: 6. Are LED lights a good choice for accurate colors in photographing artwork for print reproduction?

A: So, the consensus seems to be Yes to the question of whether the light will work well for lighting paintings for photographic reproduction. I would concur in that opinion. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at support@dracobroadcast.com.

Q: 7. Just received the kit. I Love it. Any tips/tricks how to remove crease from the tent and background fabric

A: Iron it on low heat or use a steamer

Q: 8. What are the sizes of the backgrounds? The pictures posted by customers show a horrible background, can the ones provided cover the whole background?

A: The tent itself is 24" so the backgrounds would be just a bit smaller in size.

Q: 9. Does this dim from o%-100% with DMX or does it not turn off with DMX like some other panels?

A: According to Dracast, yes, the Dracast LED1000-DX Studio Daylight LED Light with DMX is able to dim all the way from 100% intensity to 0% intensity when using DMX remote control.

Q: 10. What's the weatherproof-ness like in outdoor ENG applications? Able to withstand heavy rain or even a light-drizzle?

A: Sorry Geoffrey - it wouldn't take any droplets around this light - would short circuit for sure - it's a great light - but they really need to do something about the cheesy plastic female light stand connector.
