Take up to 4K uncompressed video and audio from USB 2.0/3.0 cameras and output an HDMI 1.4 or USB 2.0 signal with MJPEG encoding using the IOGENI U-CAM USB 3.0 Camera to HDMI Converter. The U-CAM enables cameras with USB output to become HDMI native devices, making them connectable to monitors and projectors for conference room applications. Laptops and computers with programs like Microsoft Teams and Zoom are compatible with the device. Two USB 3.0 inputs deliver video and embedded audio to one HDMI and one USB 2.0 pass-through output for subsequent editing, streaming, or display of your webcam video.

The LAN and RS-232 ports allow for IP control over the device and intuitive firmware upgrades. The U-CAM converter is compatible with laptops running Windows, Mac OS, or Linux operating systems. It can also be integrated into conference room applications with connection to compatible Cisco CODEC, matrix, and display systems. Power for the device can be achieved via a 12 VDC barrel input.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How Do I use this

A: "Simply plug this adapter in" to an an available USB Type-A port (the rectangular USB port) "to connect your computer to a second monitor or projector within seconds for a new visual environment" but the monitor has to have an HDMI port and you would use a standard HDMI cable.

Q: 2. If the webcam has a mic, does it transfer to HDMI audio?

A: No. The following unit only offers video IP decoding.

Q: 3. what type of power adaptor would i need to provide external power (from the wall - not a laptop). Also does this device provide power to the webcamera?

A: The RGBlink TAO 1tiny USB to HDMI Capture Converter can accept 5 to 9 VDC at 2 Amps (18 W) through the USB Type-C port. Yes, the converter provides 5 volts and 1 amp to power web cameras. An appropriate wall power adapter and cable are the ChargeWorx Dual USB Type-A & USB Type-C Wall Charger with 3-Tip Cable. See the link below: https://bhpho.to/3V6OYso

Q: 4. Can I use this as generic HDMI to SDI converter with HDMI Loop out?

A: Yes, the Z CAM HDMI to SDI Converter can function as a generic HDMI to SDI converter with an HDMI loop out when powered through the barrel connector.

Q: 5. Are there any case studies or videos that show the device in actual use? I don't understand how to use this device or what advantage it brings. The words, specs and examples aren't bringing it to life for me.

A: The INOGENI Toggle USB 3.0 Switcher allows a user to connect a set of USB devices and switch those devices from being connected to two different host computers.

Q: 6. Will this work with the DJI osmo pocket 3? Or earlier version of this line?

A: The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 (BH #DJOP3) sends out a UVC video signal through USB-C, which the RGBlink TAO 1tiny USB to HDMI Capture Converter supports. It has not been tested, but through the supported signal it should work, if you need to connect into the computer with an HDMI cable. The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 can connect directly into a computer, via USB, and work as a webcam without a capture device.

Q: 7. How to connect it to tv

A: This is not meant to connect to a TV, but you can plug it in if your tv has a USB-C port.

Q: 8. Will the rj45 output Support PoE: one single CAT5/6 for video, control, and power?

A: Unfortunately no, POE support will explicitly be stated in the Overview or Spec tab of any PTZ camera. The USB port carries the video signal and the LAN port supports camera control.
