The Tetenal PARVOFIN TABS are black-and-white developer tablets consisting of ten each of part A and part B tablets. Dissolve parts A and B in hot water, and after cooling, the developer is ready to use.

The use of PARVOFIN TABS dates back to the legendary powdered PARVOFIN TABS formula that was launched by Tetenal in the 1950s. The relaunch is based on the adaptation of the PARVOFIN TABS formula in today's film emulsions, considering current legal requirements for chemical ingredients of photo chemicals. PARVOFIN TABS contain no boron compounds.

The long four-year shelf life of the PARVOFIN TABS makes them a cost-efficient option highly suited to sporadic work over extended periods. A special advantage of these tablets is their wide-ranging storage temperature of -40 to 104°F. Another advantage is that there are no special transport or shipping requirements.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what is te weight of this item?

A: The 1 liter packet of D-76 powder weighs 100g (it's on the package!).

Q: 2. What is the shelf-life of this developer?

A: It ranges depending on storage conditions. Unopened it should be fine up to 1.5 years. Once opened if can range between 3-6 months.

Q: 3. Whats the shelf life of the dry powder? Can i make accurately weighted small batches of the powder and make lets say 1/3s of a gallon each time instead of making the whole gallon in one go?

A: I don't recall if it has an expiration date on it or not, but I've opened packages that were a couple years old and they worked perfectly fine. However mixing small batches probably isn't a good idea. I imagine you'd get pretty inconsistent results. I'd recommend just mixing up a gallon and keeping it in an air tight container. I've kept it many months that way with no adverse effects. Even if some goes bad, that's better than ruining film with inconsistent small batches. An alternative, if you can ship liquids to your location, would be to look into rodinal developer.

Q: 4. Once mixed how long does this solution last?

A: The official shelf life for Kodak Professional D-76 Film Developer in liquid form is 6 months in a closed bottle; it is usually good for a bit longer than that.

Q: 5. The description says D-76 is suitable for push processing. Can I use it to pull film 1 stop?

A: D-76 can be used to pull or push process film. But it is mot designed for that. So, depending on the film it might not give the best results.

Q: 6. what temp do you mix it at, is it the same as D76?

A: It is the same as D76. Water temperature needs to be 105°F. The mixing instructions are on the package label.

Q: 7. How long is the shelf-life of the dry powder? I have powder from 15-20 yrs. ago and was wondering if I can still use it.

A: While dry powder has a long shelf life, I highly doubt that your 20 year old powder is any good.

Q: 8. Can this be used to develop Ilford HP5 rolls?

A: Yes Kodak D76 developer can develop Ilford HP5 film rolls.

Q: 9. Using D-76 to develop Tri-X 400 pushed to asa / iso 1600. How much extra time to develop film? 35mm 36ex

Just started developing my on Film, so I went cheap with my chemicals for development. Very surprised on how well the negitives turned out. better than any thing I ever got from a photo lab. Don't see the need to go with a more exspensive brand. Also good for beginners because the developing time is on the package for all types of Kodak BW film. Doesn't develop c41 type film, so consider that when purchasing your film.

I use it frequently, and I have the certitude that it will develop every time my films at the same high quality.
