- 13 microphone emulations of classic microphone models
- Back-electret design provides transparent, balanced sound, and accurate transient responses
- Cardioid polar pattern suitable for a wide variety of recording scenarios
- Frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz covers the audible spectrum
- Signal-to-noise ratio of 69 dB
- Pad attenuation switch (-10 and -20 dB) improves close-miking of loud sources, ensuring a clean signal without distortion.
- Maximum sound pressure level of 146 dB
- High-pass filter switch (75 and 115 Hz) eliminates low-frequency rumble and compensates for proximity effect
- Metal housing and black-matte finish provides style and endurance
- Includes shockmount holder to eliminate unwanted vibrations and provide easy positioning
- 48 VDC Phantom Power required
- The Edge Note takes on the character of some of the finest small-diaphragm mics in existence, delivering stunning detail and realism.
- A total of 13 mic emulations reproduce the sound of legendary microphones used in the best recordings from the last century. They can be used in real time with an Antelope interface (via Synergy Core processing).
- If the user doesn't have an Antelope interface, a native plug-in emulation is available for any DAW and the microphone emulations can be easily applied to the dry audio recording. (iLok 2 or 3 required to use emulations as native plugins within your DAW)
- The flat frequency response of the Edge Note provides an exceptionally clean signal. Capturing the smallest detail of an acoustic guitar or a graceful cello becomes an easy task.
- Capturing audio in the most neutral way without dramatically boosting frequencies across the spectrum ensures that when applied, the mic emulations will sound as close as possible to the original microphone being emulated.
- With an astonishing SPL of 146 dB, the Edge Note is an excellent choice for recording the loudest sources. Get the most out of a drummer’s performance or a blasting trumpet solo without clipping the converter.
- For particularly demanding scenarios, the attenuation pad can reduce the level with -10 or -20 dB. Additionally, the high-pass filter facilitates the handling of the low-end frequencies and negative aspects of the proximity effect.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Would these work well for real ORTF microphone placement (with suitable spacers to raise one up about an inch)?
A: In conjunction with a bar like the Rode SB20 (B&H# ROSB20STEREO ), you could use these Auray mounts for ORTF mic placement. For specialized mics, it is also common to use a suspension like this one, that also comes with a blimp: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/966593-REG/rycote_080211_ortf_windshield_kit.html?sts=pi For more advice about how to mount your mics for this recording, please reach out to us with the model number of the mics you are using, and a brief description of the space where you will use this setup.
Q: 2. What is the sensitivity?
A: Blue does not publish this specification.
Q: 3. Will it fit a Neumann TLM 193?
A: This will not work with the Neumann TLM 193.
Q: 4. es compatible con studio one?
A: El B&H # SLSDVMSVMS1K si es compatible con Studio One, por medio de un interfaz de audio.
Q: 5. Will this fit the Electro Voice RE320?
A: The SHM-SCM1 will be too small for the Electro Voice RE320. I would recommend:BH# AUSSMBC10 http://bhpho.to/19hGgkf
Q: 6. Whats the self noise/equivalent noise level?
A: Blue does not publish this specification.
Q: 7. Can Two Axino Synergy Core USB Mics be used with one computer simultaneously for a streamlined podcasting setup?
A: Standardly, only one USB microphone may function with a computer at any given time, including the Antelope Axino Synergy Core USB Microphone with Built-In Microphone Emulations. The only microphone we are aware of that has been able to overcome this limitation is BH #RONTUSBMINI Rode NT-USB Mini USB Microphone, which allows connection of up to four mics into the same computer when paired with Rode Connect software.
Q: 8. Does this mic have a standard thread mic stand mount for use with other mic stands?
A: Yes, the Snowball iCE has a standard 5/8″ thread.
Q: 9. what is a pop filter?
A: A pop filter is a screen that is used in front of a microphone to minimize vocal plosives like the popping sound that is often heard from strong "P" or "T" sounds when speaking or singing into the mic. It also helps to reduce breath noise when you are close to the mic.
Q: 10. Can you hang this upside down from a boom stand?
A: Yes, the mic screws into the mount allowing it to be inverted. The pivot also allows enough movement range for many positions.
