$254.85 $364.44

The 62mm Pro UV Cut Protective Filter from Kolari Vision is virtually transparent with a transmission rate of over 99% and a low reflection. It can be kept attached to your lens simply as a protective filter, and it also cuts UV light at 415nm and reduces unnecessary bluish haze in bright daylight conditions.

The filter uses very thin and very strong Corning Gorilla Glass that's highly resistant to scratches for better lens protection. The glass is also coated with 36 layers of coatings, which give it its transparent and low reflection qualities while also making it further resistant to scratches as well as water and oil resistant. The filter frame is made of brass and has a slim design, and it's knurled for an easier grip in different weather conditions and with or without gloves.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I notice the disclaimer in the Overview section that his filter ring's outside diameter is slightly larger than the actual thread size, and because of this you may be unable to attach the lens manufacturer's bayonet-mounted lens hood to the lens while using this filter. Will this filter fit on Nikon 24-120 f/4 lens with the lens hood?

A: Yes, the HB-53 lens hood that comes with the 24-120 f/4 Is a bayonet mount that doesn't have any thing to do with the filter thread. It attaches to the lens.

Q: 2. I have a Canon EF-S 15-85mm lens. Would there be any problem using this filter with the lens hood? There is note in the descriptions that mentions it may not work with bayonet-mounted lens hoods. Anyone have any experience using this with a EF-S 15-85mm?

A: I have a 7D with a EF-S 15-85. There is no issue with this filter and the Canon lens hood (either deployed normally or reversed).

Q: 3. Will this filter work with a CoolPix A and a Nikon UR-E24 filter adapter and an HN-CP18 lens hood set?The filter adapter takes a 46mm filter so that should work just fine. However, I wonder if the lens hood will fit over the filter?

A: Yes, the Nikon UR-E24 Filter Adapter and HN-CP18 Lens Hood Set for COOLPIX A Camera (Black) B&H # NIURE24B MFR # 25874 is compatible with the Nikon COOLPIX A Digital Camera. With the adapter you can attach most 46mm filters.

Q: 4. Would the lens cap of the Sony RX10 mark 3 fit when using this filter?

A: There seems to be a mix up here with cameras. I do not own the Sony RX10. I have the Sony RX100 IV. Perhaps another Sony RX10 owner will come forward to answer your question.

Q: 5. I apologize in advance for asking! Filters that you sell B+W 77mm XS-Pro UV MRC-Nano 010M and B+W 58mm XS-Pro UV MRC-Nano 010M are made in Germany or in China?

A: According to the information we have, our current inventory's Country of Origin is Germany. Please be aware this can change over the product's production life without notice.

Q: 6. I recently bought a Kowa TSN-663M spotting scope and am looking for a protective filter for it. Will this fit my 66mm lens spotting scope?

A: The filter on this page is 72mm - you are asking about a 66mm lens. If 66mm is the actual diameter of the threaded area on your Kowa, the answer is NO. Measure (or, better, look at the paperwork on your scope)and buy the appropriate size filter.

Q: 7. Can I screw a polarizing filter on top of this one? Thanks!

A: As the B+W 62mm XS-Pro UV MRC-Nano 010M Filter has 62mm front filter threads (as listed under the Specifications tab), you may use a polarizer filter with 62mm filter threads on top of this filter.

Q: 8. will this filter fit a sony 24-105 lens hood?

A: This filter will fit the Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS Lens and you will be able to keep the hood on when it is being used.

Q: 9. What's the difference between the 007 version and the 010 version?

A: The difference between the B+W 67mm XS-Pro Clear MRC-Nano 007 Filter (B&H # BWCXSP67) and the B+W 67mm XS-Pro UV Haze MRC-Nano 010M Filter (B&H # BWUVXSP67) is the Clear MRC-Nano 007 Filter is a completely clear filter that has no filtration whatsoever, and is used simply for its protection properties and ease of cleaning. The UV Haze MRC-Nano 010M Filter may also be used for protection and cleaning needs, but in addition to the above, it is also designed to absorb/block ultraviolet light, which reduces the bluish cast of daylight, and reduces atmospheric haze. . In bright daylight, near bodies of water or snow, in high atmospheres, and in some urban situations, a UV haze filter may also assist in cutting through atmospheric haze to assist you in obtaining a higher quality image. In regards to urban situations, ALL haze may not be eliminated as some urban haze is due to smog and/or air pollution, and not due primarily to UV reflection. Other than one being clear and one having UV haze filtration, the filter size and the brass filter ring would be identical. Both use high-quality Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity and have a thin brass ring designed to reduce/eliminate vignetting on full-frame lenses up to 24mm wide, or on APS-C sensor lenses up to 18mm wide, or on Micro Four Thirds lenses up to 12mm wide

Q: 10. Will this work with the Tamron 70-200 mm f/2.8 and the Canon 17-55 mm f/2.8 lenses?

A: Yes, this lens is compatible with both of these lenses.

Mounts easily. Doesn't stick or come loose. Seems very sturdy and constructed of high quality metal. Compared shooting with it and without it, and there is a subtle, yet tangible difference in white balance...it helps rid the scene from unwanted bluish casts during the day...especially while shooting in the shade. So far I see no problems with the filter. Works flawlessly.

BW cost a bit more but you get what you pay for. Every lens I have has a BW filter on it. This one is being used on a 21mm Leica. Also, B&H service is great.

I've owned different brands of filters over the years but none have given the satisfaction of the B+W line. They just work, and last forever. Just as buying a good lens is an investment you enjoy for years and years, so are B+W filters.
