The 95mm Pro UV Cut Protective Filter from Kolari Vision is virtually transparent with a transmission rate of over 99% and a low reflection. It can be kept attached to your lens simply as a protective filter, and it also cuts UV light at 415nm and reduces unnecessary bluish haze in bright daylight conditions.

The filter uses very thin and very strong Corning Gorilla Glass that's highly resistant to scratches for better lens protection. The glass is also coated with 36 layers of coatings, which give it its transparent and low reflection qualities while also making it further resistant to scratches as well as water and oil resistant. The filter frame is made of brass and has a slim design, and it's knurled for an easier grip in different weather conditions and with or without gloves.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How does this filter compare with the B+W 58mm UV Haze MRC 010M Filter? I can't tell the difference from the descriptions.

A: Their are two difference between the B+W 58mm UV Haze MRC 010M Filter, and the B+W 58mm XS-Pro UV Haze MRC-Nano 010M Filter. The XS Pro UV filter features a very thin brass rim to prevent vignetting when using the UV filter on a very wide angle lens. Both filters feature brass rims and the same glass with MRC Multi Coating. The second difference is the the Nano coating associated with XS-Pro filters that provides an additional eighth layer over the MRC, resulting in an improved beading effect when in contact with water, and scratch prevention.

Q: 2. Will the lens hood on the Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM Lens fit on with this filter attached? I also noticed the disclaimer that it will not fit some lens with bayonet hoods.

A: I can now answer my own question, YES it will. I have now received & installed this filter and the lens hood fits over it w/o any problem.

Q: 3. Can I still use the lens cap on top of this filter?

A: Yes you can. You can as a 58mm lens cap on this filter such as B&H # SELC58. https://bhpho.to/2nTyzcg

Q: 4. Does it work on Leica TL2 ?

A: Yes the Panasonic Lumix S PRO 50mm f/1.4 Lens is compatible with the Leica TL2 camera.

Q: 5. Does it work with the polar pro litechaser 15?

A: The Moment CineClear UV Filter for iPhone 15 Pro & 15 Pro Max, B&H # MOCCSPFI15PU, is only compatible with the Moment Case for iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max.

Q: 6. Nikon 24-120/f4 - 77mm would lens cap still mount on this filter?

A: Yes, a lens cap will still mount on a Chiaro Pro 77mm 98-UVATS UV Filter.

Q: 7. Will this work on the Tamron 150-600 mm zoom?

A: Yes. This filter works on the Tamron 150-600 and the Tamron 150-600 G2.

Q: 8. HOW DOES IT ATTACH? IS THIS MAGNETIC, OR CLIP IN?

A: The PGYTECH Pro UV Filter for DJI Avata is not magnetic and will first require removal of the DJI Avatas UV filter. Once the included UV filter is removed, place the new PGYTECH Pro UV filter over the lens and firmly press the filter into place after matching the notches.

Q: 9. Where or what country made this filter? I know B+W is made in Germany and it clearly states it on the product.

A: Made in China. Good thing B&H told me because I tried to contact the company to ask them and received no response. Going back to B+W or Hoya.

Q: 10. In terms of image quality, how much better is the Chiaro 99% UV filter compared to this 98% one?

A: The Chiaro 99% UV Filter and the Chiaro Pro 58mm 98-UVAT UV Filter are made with the same glass and coatings. The difference is the light transmission is slightly better on the Chiaro 99% UV Filter. For this reason, it is unlikely you will see a difference in image quality depending on the lens you are using.

I use this filter on my 35mm f1.8 nikkor lens and I'm very happy with it. There isn't much to say about UV filters except you shouldn't even know they're there. I haven't noticed this filter since I put it on even shooting in bright sunlight with the sun entering the lens at sharp angles. I've never had a lens flare problem with it and what else could you hope for right?
