A: Epson does not publish a figure for this. But it depends on the colors and how dark the images are. This is something that will vary.

Q: 2. Using the rear roll feeder how do you cut off the print at the perfect straight angle so the next print doesn't misalign?

A: Epson SureColor P900 17" Photo Printer operating instructions can be found at the manufacture's website. Please see the link below. https://files.support.epson.com/docid/cpd5/cpd58636/index.html

Q: 3. Can I buy the new sublimation ink for the F570 and use this printer? F570s are out of stock

A: The Epson SureColor T3170x 24" Desktop Printer is not designed to e used for sublimation and damage caused by use of any inks other than manufacturer recommended can potentially void the warranty. That being said, as this is a tank printer, it is easier to convert via aftermarket products that are available.

Q: 9. Even though it has dedicated matte and glossy black, does it cycle through ink when switching papers, like past printers would do (essentially wasting ink)?

A: The P900 doesn't cycle through ink when switching.

Q: 10. Can I use 240V directly for the printer?

A: The Epson SureColor T3170x Printer has an AC Input Power of 110 to 240 VAC, 50 / 60 Hz, all you need is a small plus adapter. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=watson%20plug%20adapter&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma

Have been comparing prints from my Epson P7000 with my new P900. The addition of violet really makes a profound difference in color, detail, and sharpness -- even without tweaking image settings. May have to get an Epson P7570 commercial just to keep up

I've been planning to get a printer for a while, but since I don't print every single day, I was trying to decide whether it would really be cost effective for me to own a pigment based printer and do my printing myself. I was also looking at the difference between the P800 which had larger cartridges, and decided to get this one. Overall I've been quite happy with the output of this printer. It feeds paper quite well although I tend to load only a few pages at a time. Setup has been intuitive, and I've been happier with my results since I have more control over my results than I do sending out my print jobs. I do print runs a couple times a week, and it's been very reliable. I do like the light that allows you to proof the print quality easily as it's working. Overall it's been working well for me!

After 17 years of using the Epson Stylus Pro 3800, I finally had to replace it and opted for the P900 as the apparent equivalent in the high output prosumer printer range. The 3800 used nine K3 inks while the P900 uses ten Pro10 inks, with the difference being one additional ink (violet for more pronounced blues) and very importantly, ten ink nozzles - one per ink cartridge - so that I no longer have to waste already-fed ink when I am switching paper between matte and glossy. This latter feature alone saves a ton on ink and on waste cartridges, because no longer is there a need for an ink dump every time I switch papers. Meanwhile the print quality of P900 exceeds that of the Stylis Pro 3800 in color and in B&W on every Epson paper that I have tried so far. Most notable is the B&W prints on Epson's glossy metallic paper - the tonal range displayed there is exceptional. The footprint of this printer is approximately equal to its predecessor and the ink savings has changed my approach to throughput significantly. It was hard to say goodbye to my Stylis Pro but easy to feel good about the obvious upgrade that the P900 is.

Package arrived in excellent condition. The Printer software was easy to install and connect to the Wi-Fi. Few pictures I have printed so far are sharp with excellent color representation.

I had an Epson 2880 and was very sad when I had ink issues that could not be solved. I love my new 17 printer, able to print panoramas, large images for larger frames, color perfect even reds, technology improve, more ease to use.

Warning - I'm a printing rookie but this printer is amazing so far. I have been feeding it photos that I never printed on 8 1/2 x 11 Canon photo papers I had on hand. It far surpasses my expectation. I'll come back if I change my mind but right now I'm a happy camper on a journey to printing my captures instead of just posting them on facebook.

I've been using Epson inkjets since the 2000 was the new things almost 20 years ago. I have to say the P900 was the easiest setup although I still consider the Epson website a bit clunky to install software on the computer. So far the prints look fine although maybe not much different than the P800 which I have used for several hundred prints. I particularly like the results on matte surface art appears such as Canson Infinity ARCHES 88 and I have done very little on glossy paper. I am waiting for Baryta Photographique II to arrive and I expect it is going to do a fine job on that paper. The inset promises extended life for yellow ink (which has always been questionable) so that makes it very useful for color print life. At the current price this printer is well positioned in the market and will fill many needs.

Have not set up a printer in a number of years - printer arrived today, set it up within an hour of arrival and printing. Very easy. It is somewhat fragile and the type of plastic is flimsy - a small sliver came off on the blue packing tape (did not cause a problem with function, just a testament to the friability). Prints well - will get used to it over the next month and refresh the review if needed. On day #1, I'm happy.
