A: Haven't tried it but it would work. You would probably need a grip head to hold the mike holder. The cranks for tilt and rotation would be useful. The crank to extend the arm is in an awkward place though.

A: It's mostly meant to be dropped in Large 4.5" Grip Heads. The Kupo C-Boom Clamp for 1-1/4'' and 1-1/5'' Pipes has T-Slotted Ear for mounting. It holds Holds 1-1/4" and 1-1/5" Boom Poles, due to some C-stands made different - you will need to measure your stand to be exact about fitting.

A: The maximum load capacity of the Matthews Baby Boom is 15 lbs at full extension.

A: You can certainly remove that casting but we also manufacture the Steady Rest PN:B386032 which is a 2 section riser with a range of 28” to 70” with the ability to support a 90lbs load. It is also around half the price of the boom.
