This variable ND8-ND128 filter with magnetic technology can be installed in seconds for a faster installation than traditional thread filters.

The adapter ring has a thread to be screwed onto the lens. The ND8-ND128 magnetic filter engages in a magnetic way. Magnetic adapter rings are also suitable for other magnetic filters such as the magnetic CPL, magnetic ND8, magnetic black mist, and the magnetic ND1000 by K&F Concept.

K&F Concept utilizes cutting-edge technology (frame self-lock) to avoid the common "X" cross on a wide-angle and telephoto lens.

Both sides of the glass have nanometer coating (a total of 28 layers) that makes it waterproof, scratch resistant, and anti-glaring, effectively protecting the camera lens.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this a hard stop filter where it goes from 2 to 5 and then it can't proceed further ?

A: The rotation of the filter is smooth. It does not click as you rotate it. It also stops rotating once you reach the maximum or minimum density.

Q: 2. Hi i plan to use this filter on Nikon 28mm f/1.8G AF-S Nikkor mount on Nikon D700. Any concern? This is an expensive filter so just want to be sure before purchase. Thanks!

A: They are 100% compatible and will work well together.

Q: 3. 82mm. Does this filter have "front threads", for instance to screw on a lens hood?

A: The following system offer 86mm Front Filter Threads.

Q: 4. Will it fit Sigma 16mm F1.4 DC DN EF-M?

A: Yes, as the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens has 67mm filter threads on the front of the lens, the K&F Concept Nano-X Variable Fader NDX HD Green-Coated Waterproof Anti-Scratch Japan Optics Filter (67mm, ND2-32) is compatible for use with the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens.

Q: 5. does this 95mm filter still allows for the Sony 200-600 mm lens factory hood to be mounted with the filter on?

A: You coudl use the included lens hood on the Sony FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS Lens with the B+W 95mm XS-Pro Digital ND Vario MRC-Nano Filter.

Q: 6. Can this variable B+W ND be stacked with a B+W ND 10-Stop filter in order to achieve a 13-15 Stop result?

A: Yes, but shooting thru several pieces of glass will reduce image quality.

Q: 7. Is the outer-edge threaded?. If so, what size?

A: There does not appear to be any sort of screw for mounting another lens on the front of this one.

Q: 8. When stopped to the highest setting (5 stops) does the image degrade (sharpness, cross hatching)?

A: I've shot extensively with the 95mm, 72mm, & 67mm versions. You don't get any cross-hatching, but a definite vignette in the corners toward the 5 stop range when shooting photos. Video is not an issue as it crops to 16:9. Other than than, negligible colour cast & no sharpness issues.

Q: 9. How thick is this filter?

A: I don't have this filter. Not sure why I was asked by BH to answer the question. Sorry.

Q: 10. The specs for the B+W 95mm Xs-Pro ND Vario filter show that the front filter size is also 95mm. However, for all other sizes the front filter size is larger than the back side that screws on to the lens. Can someone please confirm that the front threads for the 95mm model are also 95mm as in the specs or wider like the picture suggests? Thanks.

A: definitely not!! the rear thread of the filter is 95mm, however the front thread of the filter is 105mm
