Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this survive an airport check in?

A: Having traveled thousands of air miles with camera gear, I can only say that checking bags for said gear is a risk you do not want to take. I recommend a hard case for all your checked gear.

Q: 2. does anyone know if this case is accepted by airline as a checked bag? Thanks.

A: I fly with this bag monthly and I've never had an issue with an airline accepting it in checked baggage. I fly Southwest Airlines a lot, and as long as it's not more than 50lbs, they've never charged me for excessive or oversized baggage. You can get a lot gear in this bag and keep it under 50 lbs.

Q: 3. Long shot, but I have to ask. Does this fit in the trunk of a 2014 Subaru Legacy with a 1620 Pelican case? After long research to find a rolling bag with hold my 47 stands, it occurred to me that I still need to fit it in my car!

A: I can't answer if it will fit your Subaru but I can tell you I really like this case. It holds four Manfrotto stackable stands plus a Cheetah stand and a bunch of adapters in the main compartment. I have multiple 45 umbrellas and a 3' Profoto Octi in the pockets. You should know if you are going to fill it up the width can increase substantially. I just measured mine as nearly 17 across, and I would not call it overloaded. I love rolling into a gig with all of my lighting in one bag.

Q: 4. Would a 39in tripod fit inside or does the 38in specification leave no wiggle room? Thanks!

A: 39 inches will fit. Measuring mine with a tape measure, it has 39.5 inches of interior length. While the bottom (The end with the wheels) has a firm wall to it, the top (handle end) has some give to it. There's probably enough give in the fabric to accommodate 40 inches, but 39 will fit pretty much exactly, with no stretching.

Q: 5. hi there, is there anyway I can lock this bag?

A: I don't see a way.

Q: 6. Can this bag accommodate Matthews Hollywood Baby Junior Double Riser Stand, is it wide enough?

A: This bag would have a tight fit in terms of the base of the Matthews Hollywood Baby Junior Double Riser Stand.

Q: 7. Will this hold the tripod to the Celestron Evolution 6?

A: The min height of the Celestron Tripod is 47" Height adjustment range (includes mount and tripod) 1193.8mm - 1752.6mm (47" – 69") The intirior Dim of the Lightware C6038 Stand Sock -37.75 x 5.5 x 0.5" IT IS TOO SHORT The interior Dim of the Think Tank Photo Stand Manager 52 52 x 12 x 7.5" IT WILL FIT IN THIS CASE

Q: 8. What is the max weight this bag can handle?

A: I put a boom stand, 2 Cheetah Stands, 2 Westcott stands, a reflector stand, a backround stand for a Botero, and a tri-pod. Pretty heavy if you have to carry it more than 100' feet but the bag holds up great. Very durable.

Q: 9. Do the interior dimensions given also include the long side pockets?

A: I would guesstimate that the exterior side pockets are about the same as the interior and about 36-38 long.

Q: 10. what is the inside dimension of the long side pockets?

A: Interior Dimensions ø: 11.2 x L: 29.5" / ø: 28.6 x L: 74.9 cm

I bought this bag to carry a pair of Manfrotto nano stands and a small Benro tripod, plus a couple umbrellas. It holds all of them and even a reflector arm. I am a petite woman (about 5'4 tall) and I can use the carry handles to tote these things around on my back...along with my rolling camera bag and extra bag of lights/laptop on the subway. Of course I would prefer to have an assistant to help carry a few things, but with this bag I can manage on my own. It seems to be great quality and I will be ordering a larger one once I get a pair of slightly bigger light stands to hold B1's. Hopefully it will still be fairly easy to carry on my back.

I was able to fit 2 heavy duty stands, 2 accent light stands and my boom pole into this handy bag and still have room for more. If you have lots of stands to carry on location, this one is great if you're on a budget.

I've bought several of these and generally love them. They we out of stock for quite a while in my most recent order but i waited it out and eventually got my most recent pair. B&H has always been great at keeping the customer informed and offering options. The photo in the review and the website are not accurate. All the ones I've bought are gray on the outside. The inside is black. Perhaps this one was turned inside out. Comment for Lightware: a longer version would be nice for backdrop crossbars, etc.. I've been a customer of B&H for years and have been very happy with their service.

I use this bag for couple of my light stands and my tripod and everything fits in properly and makes it easy to carry. The stitching is strong and the material is very light and the price is way less than those big brand bags.
