A: These are not considered archival folders.
Q: 2. Can a umbrella be mounted using the products already provided in this kit, or is a separate mount needed? Also, do all four lights need to be inserted to use this product, or can less be used as well?
A: Yes there is an umbrella slot so you can take the soft box off and use an umbrella if you want, and each socket works independently of the others.
Q: 3. Why would someone buy these? Aren't they identical to the canisters 35mm film comes in? I throw so many away. Do people store un-cut negatives in them?
A: I use them to store anything I want to keep dry, like ends of Q tips I use for cleaning the camera when not at home.

A: The opening is made for an 8x10 photo.

Q: 10. Can you print on them with a laser printer?
A: Never tried, but possibly. The card stock is not that thick.
