- The CVM-WM200A PRO features a two-channel receiver with dual external antennas, allowing you to save space on your shooting rig by using a single receiver to simultaneously accept signals from two transmitters. Use the included shoe-mount accessory to mount it on your camera, DSLR, or camcorder. A belt clip for the receiver is also supplied.
- Both antennas on the receiver rotate 180° so you can optimize reception
- The high-resolution backlit LCD screen shows vital information such as battery status for the receiver and both transmitters, audio level, and group/channel selection.
- Select mono output mode when using a single transmitter or recording signal from both transmitters to a mono camera input. Switch to stereo output mode to record each transmitter to a separate audio channel (Group A to the left channel, Group B to the right channel).
- The CVM-WM200A PRO includes two audio cables—one 3.5mm and one 3.5mm to XLR—for connecting the receiver's volume-adjustable 3.5mm line output to the input of your camera, DSLR, or camcorder. A separate 3.5mm port is provided for real-time monitoring through headphones.
- The CVM-WM200A PRO includes two bodypack transmitters and two lavalier microphones for miking two subjects at the same time. Each microphone's locking 3.5mm plug screws into place to prevent accidental disconnection.
- The transmitters allow you to record backup audio to a microSD card. Cards up to 128 GB are supported.
- High-speed data transfer is supported through the transmitter's USB Type-C port.
- By utilizing omnidirectional polar patterns, the lav mics offer 360° sound pickup, which is more forgiving to your subjects' head movements. Fit the supplied windbusters on the lav mics to significantly reduce noise from wind and rustling of clothes.
- Each transmitters' 3.5mm input can accept line-level signal should you need to do a camera hop, route the output of a mixer, or field recorder into the transmitter's line input to wirelessly stream the audio mix to the receiver.
- Maximum operating range of approximately 394' line-of-sight
- Utilizes the UHF FM band in two groups—Group A for 534.125 to 557.875 MHz and Group B for 566.125 to 589.875 MHz
- 96 channels with auto-scan selection for interference-free operation
- Send two transmitters to the same receiver or send one transmitter to multiple receivers
- Fast automatic sync via IR
- Transmitters and receiver powered via two AA batteries (available separately) or their USB ports
- Selectable group (A, B, or A/B) via side-panel switch on receiver
- Switchable stereo/mono audio output on receiver
- 16-level volume adjustment per transmitter
- Selectable mic- or line-level input per transmitter
- Transmitter low-cut filter with 80 and 160 Hz options reduces rumble and low-frequency buildup
- Selectable high/low transmitting power; use low-power mode to reduce power consumption when working at close range, or switch to high-power mode to improve signal quality when working at greater distances
- Transmitter power buttons double as mute switches (long press for power, short press for mute)
- Metal body construction provides efficient shielding against EMI (electromagnetic interference)
- Includes carrying case for simplified transport
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. How long do the battery's last in the 200? And other than the battery's, is there any major difference between the 200 & 300? I'm not finding any, but maybe I missed something... thanks.
A: 200 uses AA batteries where the 300 has internal rechargeable batteries. Only other difference I see is that the 300 also includes more accessories like the 1/8" to XLR output cable. The micro USB recharge port does beg the question if an external (cell phone) charging battery would work to extend the active life...
Q: 2. How long do the battery's last in 200?
A: About to 3-5 hours.
Q: 3. Will this power a DPA 4060 lav mic?
A: The transmitter in this wireless system can accept and power a mic such as the DPA Microphones d:screet Core 4060 Miniature Omnidirectional Microphone with 1/8" Mini-Jack Connector (High-Sens, Black), BH #DP4060OCCB34.
Q: 4. With 2 transmitters going do you get a left and right isolated feed from receiver into camera?
A: Yes you will if your camera's input are left and right channels for stereo.
Q: 5. Does the receiver have enough audio output to power a line level signal?
A: Yes, the Sony URX-P41D Dual-Channel Camera-Mount Wireless Receiver in the Sony UWP-D27 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System has an output level adjustment in its Menu options. You can set the level in 3 dB increments from –12 dB to +12 dB (full line level).
Q: 6. Can these transmit audio while recording a backup at the same time?
A: Yes, the Comica Audio CVM-WM200A PRO 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System can transmit audio while simultaneously recording backup audio files.
Q: 7. I'm in Denver and I cannot decide which frequency block to get. If anyone can help me decide, and explain why, that would be lovely!
A: The UC14: 470 to 542 MHz and UC25: 536 to 608 MHz frequency bands for the Sony UWP-D27 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System are both very good options for use in Denver, Colorado. Each band has 2,772 auto-scan frequencies so there are plenty of individual frequencies within the band to be able to find clear frequencies to use for transmitting audio and avoiding strong broadcast signal from local radio and TV stations.
Q: 8. How to adjust volume on actual mic
A: At this time, we can not find an available manual for this item to guide you. In general for most wireless systems, there should be a level control option in the menu of the receiver where you would adjust the output signal up or down.
Q: 9. Does this also come with the adapter cable for DSLRs (specifically Canon)?
A: Yes, the 3.5mm TRS to TRRS Cable included with the Comica Audio CVM-VM20 Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone has automatic TRS/TRRS sensing functionality, making it compatible with most 3.5mm microphone input jacks, including those found on DSLR cameras like the ones made by Canon.
Q: 10. Do I have to use rechargeable AA batteries with the USB-C plug?
A: No, the CVM-WM200A system does not have any USB connections. The receiver and transmitters are each powered by two AA batteries which can be either standard alkaline or rechargeable NiMH type. Rechargeable batteries must be removed the receiver and transmitters for charging using an appropriate battery charger. Comica does offer other wireless mic systems that have built-in rechargeable Li-ON batteries and can also be powered via USB such as the Comica Audio CVM-WM300A 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System (B&H # COCVMWM300A).
