A: Hi, the LensCoat Lens Cover is made to be used while the cover is on the lens. When used the waterproof cover is design to protect the lens from harsh outdoor elements. The cover also features a clear plastic window over the auto focus, focus limiter controls and the distance scale to ensure that you can access all controls without having to take the case off.

A: The Lenscoat product arrives in small sections. Before putting it on the lens, its best to match up each section of the coat with the appropriate section of the lens it is to go on. Each section will be evident as to what part of the lens it is to be placed on. As far as putting the coat on the lens itself goes, its much like putting on a sweatband on your wrist or head. Just stretch the neoprene out a bit and lift the first section over the circumfrence of the lens, and pull it back to its apporpriate position.

Q: 8. My 200mm 645z lens operates flawlessly but I notice that in manual focus, the focus ring is hardly damped at all. Quite, almost too easy to turn. Do any owners notice the same?

A: We have not had any issues we are aware of from customers with manual focus on that lens. If you do feel you might have an issue you need to contact direct our customer service department.
