I managed to obtain a 3rd party spare. Who had its name all over the unit? None other than Panasonic who via B and H charged a reasonable price , if it can really be said that OM batteries are fairly priced. No prizes for guessing where they are made.Why not 3rd parties being offered here. Not enough people projected to purchase the camera to amortize the cost of the production.
