Got this as a spare for the eclipse, and just to always have one waiting in the bag, ready to go. Have read too many horror stories of 3rd party batteries to not go OEM. Pricier, yes, but worth it. 5

I purchased the Canon brand because I knew it would be top quality. The battery charges up without a long wait period. I dont keep it in the camera so it doesn't loose its charge. It hasn't failed me yet to be ready to go when needed. 5

I bought this battery for my Canon camera, for longer shooting sessions. I fail to see the logic of spending 400 dollars on a camera and using a cheap 12 dollar knockoff battery. Some of these batteries leak, some don't have the regulator circuit that keeps it from exploding after getting too hot. That's what happened to Samsung. Worth the extra coin to have Canon printed on the side. Did not buy a camera to have it blow up in my face. 5

I have 4 of these for my camera so I'm never without power. But I really don't have to change them often. I also just feel better knowing they are legit canon batteries and not knock offs or 3rd party 5
