I was so thankful to get this to be able to open and review all of my files. It does require the rounded, reversible connection seen on most modern android phones and laptops. I would highly recommend getting this to help you get maximum speed transfers with fast charging capabilities.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this cable because of the amount of data it can transfer, but then I used it as a charging cable for my phone and WOW, this thing is a super fast charger and transfer cable...I would like to have it a little longer in length but it has downloaded from phone to laptop and charges from 35% battery to full in less than 45 mins. Impressive speed for file transfer.

It’s about 2.5 feet long which was ideal for what I was using it for, but I can see other people maybe preferring something longer since it will limit you on doing certain things. Even though the cable has multiple forms of usage, I am primarily going to be using it for transferring data to an external, but you can also use it to transfer high resolution video up to 4K. The cable itself feels strong and durable and I’m expecting it to have a long life. I’ve been very happy with it.

I don't know why my other usb-c cables won't work with the MacBook, but it's been an ongoing problem for me ever since my dog literally chewed through the charging cable that came with it. This cable works with all of my devices and charges quickly. It's my preferred cable and the ONLY one I travel with. GET IT.
