Designed for complex live productions, the ATEM 2 M/E Advanced Panel 40 enables you to customize, monitor, and switch your live broadcast events with features such as camera switching, executing transitions, fades, DVE effects, and 12 on-air indicators. The ATEM 2 M/E Advanced Panel 40 connects to your switcher via 10/100/1000 BaseT Ethernet and incorporates four Ethernet loop outputs for connecting to another panel or to a media-management computer.

A: Yes you can. All of those products are compatible with each other. The Advance Panel can control all current ATEM models.

Q: 2. Can I use this on ATEM Production studio 4k?

A: Yes, the Blackmagic Design ATEM 1 M/E Advanced Panel is compatible with the Blackmagic Design ATEM Production Studio 4K.

A: Yes, PTZ cameras that use Visca commands can be connected to an ATEM switcher over RS-422 to be controlled from the ATEM 1 M/E Advanced Panel.

A: Yes, the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO is compatible with the Advanced Panel 1 ME.

A: Please see the following response from Blackmagic Design: "All Advanced Panel Models have a row of buttons above the Program and Preview rows. This row may be used to select sources for various internal busses. There is also a Macro button next to this row of buttons. When selected the row of buttons becomes a Macro bus. Additional macros may be selected using the shift key."

A: Yes, this panel (like our other panels) is capable of fully operating all of the ATEM switcher models.

Q: 7. I avoided early BMD switchers due to fan noise (it'll be in the auditorium, not a separate control room.) Is this still an issue with these newer units?

A: The Atem Switchers still have fans and can be positioned away from the area where you work using the Blackmagic Design ATEM 1 M/E Advanced Panel. The Panel is a just controller for the Atem Switcher model and would be silent.

Q: 8. Can these control multiple pts cameras (with different ID numbers)?

A: As per Blackmagic Design: These can control up to 7 PTZ cameras with daisy chained RS-422 connection using VISCA protocol. However, to be able to do that would require one of the ATEM switchers with the RS-422 connection.

Q: 9. What is the diference betwen this and the ATEM televisión STUDIO ?

A: The Blackmagic Design ATEM 1 M/E Advanced Panel is just a controller and not a video switcher. The Panel connects to ATEM switcher models that do not have a control button interface included. This is my first Blackmagic Design hardware acquisition and I must say, quality is the name of the game here. From the search dial to the excellently placed keys, you definitely know they took the time to make this. And the weight of it is solid. I also love that it's USB-C and Bluetooth. Nothing beats this product for the price and size. Excellent first buy for any Video Editor. 5

Most useful for Cut Page editors, though quite a few functions work in Edit. Plastic, but well-made without flexing and has a fairly substantial heft. The dial is high-quality. USB-C charging and USB-C connection or Bluetooth. Well worth it. 5

As soon as I saw the first reviews I wanted to have the keyboard, and it did not dissapoint. It is easy to use, and intuitive. It really sped up my workflow. I hope to see the speed editor support the edit page more, as it is geared towards the cut page. The build quality is fantastic and the form factor makes it easy to integrate a setup with mouse and keyboard without cluttering the desk too much. 5

I am just new to the DaVinci Resolve program and have used Adobe Premier PRO 6 when it was not part of the Adobe cloud , DaVinci puts editors back in control of editing again. The speed editor makes editing much easier to scan and insert clips into a timeline. I am still learning the ropes of its power but so far I LIKE IT!! 5
