The 82mm Slim Multicoated Circular Polarizer Filter from ICE reduces reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface. A polarizing filter arranges and filters this directionally polarized light perpendicularly to reflected light, allowing for the absorption of much of this light, resulting in a reduction of glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces and an increase in the saturation of skies and foliage.

This filter is constructed from optical glass for high resolution and color fidelity and has eight layers of nano-multicoating on each glass surface to prevent internal ghosting and reflections and optimize light transmission. The surface is also water resistant for easy cleaning and for use in inclement environments and locations. It features a slim, 5mm-wide aluminum alloy filter ring, so it can be used with ultra-wide-angle lenses without vignetting. The filter ring can be rotated to adjust the intensity of the polarization effect and has a 82mm front thread for adding additional filters, lens hoods, or other lens accessories.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How much stops of light does it reduce?

A: Unfortunately, a filter factor is not provided by Nikon for this CPL.

Q: 2. Is this a good filter for Leica Q2?

A: Yes, this 49mm Carl ZEISS T* Circular Polarizer Filter is a good filter to use with the Leica Q2.

Q: 3. Will this filter work with my Canon 16-35 f2.8L Mark 4 lens ?

A: You wrote mark 4 but there was only the Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L original and II and III versions. The III has an 82mm thread and will work with this Zeiss filer. All but the original version of this lens will work with this filter.

Q: 4. Can I put my HN3 Cap on the out side of the filter when the filter is mounted on the Nikon 35 mm f 2D lens mounted on my Nikon D3 camera? Or in other words can I use this filter between my lens and the capHN3?

A: Yes you can. The front of this filter is threaded in the same manner as your lens is, and can accept any other 52mm sized lens cap or other filter stacked upon it.

Q: 5. is this filter work with cannon sx 50?

A: Yes but you must buy an adapter because the SX50 does not have threads on the lens.

Q: 6. can I use for canon 80d 18-135 nano usm lens?

A: Yes, it is the right size. It works great for reducing reflections!

Q: 7. Does it have rotating filter ring?

A: Yes, it does.

Q: 8. Can I use a Circular polorizor on a 35mm film camera?

A: Yes, you can use a circular polarizing filter on a 35mm film camera, with the same effect as on a digital camera.

Q: 9. What polarize filter would I need for a Nikon DX AF-S 55-300mm f4.5-5.6 G ED?

A: Your lens takes a 58mm filter.

Q: 10. Can this filter attach to the UV filter already on the lens or is it best to use one or the other?

A: Most UV filters have front filter threads. So you could attach the ZEISS 67mm Carl ZEISS T* Circular Polarizer Filter to the front of most UV filters.
