This 50mm square, unmounted Baader 3.5/4nm f/3 Ultra-Highspeed O-III CMOS Filter from Alpine Astronomical is recommended for extremely fast optical systems from f/3.4 to 2.3 and is particularly designed for the special filter requirements of f/3 optics. The filter features a Reflex-Blocker hard coating, which has been optically polished, and has Life-Coat sealed edges. It is equally suitable for modern CMOS sensors as well as for older CCD camera technologies.

A: I've only used it on a Sony A7R II with extremely nice results. I don't see why mounting it on a Fuji would be a problem. My only dislike of the lens is it's minimum focus - I wish it focused closer. Otherwise it's another beauty from Voigtlander.

Q: 4. Choices re Use of a cpl filter? 62mm? Can lens hood still be used? Or 43mm screwed into lens hood?

A: The FUJIFILM GF 50mm f/3.5 R LM WR Len works with CPL Filters that are 62mm thread. If the CPL has a 62mm front thread you can use the hood.

Q: 5. does the lens come with a hood ?

A: You do receive the lens hood in the box.

Q: 6. Any idea if fujifilm gf lenses are compatible with hasselblad x cameras ?

A: Unfortunately they are not compatible and we do not have an adapter for that combination.

A: The Voigtlander Heliar 50mm f/3.5 Lens is a M mount lens, and it will work perfectly on a Leica film cameras like the M-1, M-2, M-3, M-4, M-4p, M-6, M-7 .

A: The whirring noise is the in body stabilization doing its thing, on the GFX100. You shouldn't hear that sound on the other models.

Love the lens small enough to allow street photography but still providing medium format look I was looking for. Focusing speed is fine for me and the field of view is still fine for portrait. I am looking forward to get the120m macro lens. I highly recommend. 5

I bought this on special for my GFX50R and although I don’t use it so much (my go to is the 32-64mm), its fab if I want to have a light rig with me and can have the camera on my shoulder all day, for street photography for example. 5

If I had to be narrowed to having only one lens, this would be it. It is sharp, light, and fast enough for my needs. Walking a few steps forward or back make it almost as versatile as a short zoom, and a third the weight. The inclusion of a filter by B&H made this a great choice. This lens is a gem. 5

For use as a walk around, general purpose lens, this is an excellent choice. Many reviewers comment that they wish it had a faster aperture but this would defeat the purpose of having a small relatively light and inexpensive lens. Sharpness is very good and some decent bokeh can be achieved with subjects close to the camera. I do wish it focused closer though. I thought about buying an extension tube but at least at the current time these are priced too high for what they are. When offered at a discount this lens is well worth the money and is an especially good fit with the GFX 50R. 5

Rented the 45mm f2.8 to campare as many said the 50 was a nice second place. Maybe my copy of the 45mm was below par or my copy of the 50mm was above but other than angle of view, I could see no discernible difference between the two at 3:1. Quite happy with mine. 5

This lens is the perfect complement to my 50S for street photography. I am still holding onto the 45mm lens for times when I need wider aperture and size/weight is not an issue. But for street, where I shoot f5.6 or higher, and want as light as possible, this is the perfect lens. 5
