Truly a beautiful lens. Very tight fit to f mount- Nikon. The quality is outstanding!
I bought this for use with my newly acquired D2XS(like new).
Landscape.

The lens is great for those shots you want to cram a lot of what you see in a photograph. It is teriffic for buildings, landscapes or museum artifacts, where you can not afford to step back. It also works great for photos where you want a disproportionately large object to be included with your candid (e.g. take a person's photo in full height while including all of Seattle's space needle, being within 1/4 mile from the Needle). It is well built, although a little below L lens standard. The lens is VERY wide at 10 mm; if youa re not carefull you can include your feet in the photograph. The sharpness is spectacular with F above 3.5. It is not heavy and handles nicely with 60 D. My biggest disappointment with the lens is that you see a distorted view in the viewfinder, which looks significantly different from the photograph, especially at 10 mm. A good practice is to take the photo and decide later.

Just wanted to replace my old version (4-5.6) with the newer one before it discontinued. Also my old one has a very soft left side (not uncommon for wide angle lenses). I pulled the trigger on this one and I am satisfied with the purchase.
This version (3.5) has a bit softer corners, especially when aperture is wide open, but comparable with my old lens. If you close it to 7.1-8 - it is sharp. This lens has a slightly softer right bottom corner, but it's acceptable. Much better than my old lens.
I would recommend this lens if you need wide angle and not a pixel peeler. It is good lens and great landscaping photography or architectural.
Will use it to take pictures of houses for sale too.

Superb quality at a fair price. This lens is amazing. I wish I would have made the leap months ago. I'm a realtor and shoot my own photos. This lens was the missing link. I shoot with a Sony a65. My friend shot with much more expensive lenses, full frame camera and the results were very similar. My processed photos were a little softer, but then again I don't do much processing.

I own most of the Canon L series lenses. I had the canon 10-22 a few years ago and liked it but didn't use it enough to justify the expense. Recently I found that I need more wide angle shots and was going to get the Canon again. I saw this and it had good reviews so I decided to try it. I am so glad that I did. This lens is very nice and much cheaper than Canon's. It is a little slower to focus and you have to pay attention to be sure that it is sharp but other than than it is close to perfect.

Performs as expected indoors and out.

constant aperture, ultra wide, and great build at an affordable price

I've missed the wide angle lenses since going digital with the APS c sized sensors, and this one is certainly wide. I bought it mainly for landscape and scenics and gives me a view on my 50d and XTi like I've never had.

It works well with the 2 Canon bodies I have. I'm fully satisfied.

It takes sharp pics on my APS D 5300 after processing. I shoot raw and my software also corrects edge sharpness to same sharpness as in center. Worth the money!
