I don't always buy AppleCare for my computers. They tend to be durable when treated properly. My 14 yr old daughter has used her AppleCare several times so it has proved extremely worthwhile. Apple usually does the repair (including changing her display) and gets the computer back in two days. I bought it for my MBP 13 because I will also get my 24 display covered as well. As B&H was priced below anyone else, it really was a deal. They won't let me say the price but I think I can say its best I've seen ever.

Apple products are built very well but if they fail you probably want trained hands working on them. That's where AppleCare comes, it's a must if you buy one of Apple's computers. That gives you 3 years of peace. The price at B&H is the best, ... highly recommended. Stay away from ... ones as many of those are a scam. B&H's is legit and you will receive it at home instead of just the same serial number ... sellers are sending other buyers.

after using PC for 25 years, now i know what i was missing..brilliant hi def screen, fast, no. 1 tech support, if you want to stay ahead of technology, imac or apple is your source, user's friendly, best tech support, twice as much money then PC but, four times better in support and technology, since hardware and software is made by apple so one call does it all, no more calling 25 different manufacture if you have pc probb lem, easy to use, very friendly, tutorial in great detail, can't think of anything, that aren't so good about imac,

Let's face it, warranties are insurance and like most folks, I don't care much for insurance. However, as many people know, portable devices and laptops are prone to failure due to the nature of the use and abuse they take. For that reason, purchasing an extended warranty can be a good idea. It's a little bit disappointing that Apple only offers 90 days of phone support but their 1-year of hardware support is pretty standard. That said, the 3-year coverage offered by the AppleCare Protection Plan provides peace of mind and excellent support for an appropriate amount of time. I have already contacted Apple regarding a minor issue with my new MBP and am pleased to say that their tech support has so far been a joy to work with. Both technicians I spoke with were professional and courteous and spoke excellent English. I have yet to take my laptop to an Apple store but like the idea that I can do so instead of mailing it across the country or taking it to a big box store. Overall, Apple provides good peace of mind and protection at a fair price with the 3-year AppleCare Protection Plan.

Since I was buying a used laptop, it seemed like a good idea to have AppleCare. Well, it's a good idea even with a new laptop. Past experience has proven AppleCare to be a lifesaver. Be sure you know the original purchase date of computer!
