It features a brass construction with a stainless steel finish as well as the ability to focus to infinity. This works with a leaf spring system for a secure attachment.

Q: 1. I have an Olympus DE M10 Markii and Konica Hexanon 50mm f1.7 lens. I asked about an adaptor at a local camera shop and they said some people can't get some adaptors off the camera. The only review here said tight fit. That's okay, but I want to be sure I can get it off. Also, does using Konica lens produce good portraits (seeing that it is now comparable to a 100mm lens on 4/3)? Thank you for assistance. I became aware of B & H through Robin Wong videos. Do I purchase through his link?

A: the fotodiox adapter is designed to properly mount your Hexanon lens to a micro four thirds camera. It's also designed to release the lens when you're done. As with any manufactured product, quality control is rarely 100%. There are no blanket guarantees. As to it being a suitable portrait lens for your camera, it certainly is, though you'll have no auto focus and metering options will be limited. If Robin Wong has a link to the B&H website and it benefits him if you use it, then please do so.

Q: 2. I have a BMPCC with the MFT mount & a Sigma 18-35mm 1.8 with the EF mount. Will this adaptor work with my camera/lens combination? if not could anyone recommend a suitable adaptor? I have pasted a link to the adaptor below. Thank youa href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/994969-REG/fotodiox_eos_iris_mft_p_pro_micro_4_3_mft.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/994969-REG/fotodiox_eos_iris_mft_p_pro_micro_4_3_mft.html/a

A: Hello, I purchased this adapter about 6 months ago when I had a Panasonic GH3, so I cannot speak for the BMPCC. I tested the adapter with a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 lens and the adapter worked as advertised. It turns all functions of the lens to manual operation, though, and I believe you lose one stop of light. The unit has a solid build quality and fit the lens and camera perfectly.

Q: 3. I have Contax N mount Vario -Sonar lens 28 to 80 will this work on Olympus OMD Micro 4/3 ?.beutifull lens shame not to make us of it . It also as macro range to 1 to 1 as far as can guess .

A: The adapter I have is loose on the camera. Ive had the same problem before. You can use it but be aware that it may not be a tight fit.

Q: 4. Is this compatible with the blackmagic MICRO cinema camera? Some adapters fit the bmpcc but not the bmmcc

A: Yes, this is the right adapter for your blackmagic micro cinema camera.

Q: 5. Are there any caps for this adapter? I want to protect the iris blades and keep in clean

A: Since the front portion of the mount is the Canon EF mount, you could use the following cap to cover it: http://bhpho.to/1x4zHba

Q: 6. Does this work as a speed booster? Adding an f/stop? Does this fix the cropping issue? (Allowing for shallow depth of field)? Thanks for the help

A: No, this is just an adapter with a mechanical iris. It adds some vignetting. It's pretty junky actually. Save your money and get a metabones.

Q: 7. With the adapter having a minimum aperture of 1.7, can a Rokinon cine prime with a minimum aperture of 1.5 be used wide open? Or will there be light loss through the adapter?

A: You will be with a Rokinon f / 1.7 using this adapter. Example : Rokinon 14mm f2.8 = 14mm f2.8Rokinon 24mm f/1.4 = 24mm f/1.7

Q: 8. If a Leica lens is mounted on a Panasonic m4/3 camera with an adapter like this, will focus peaking work to assist focusing?

A: Yes, focus peaking will work (at least it does on my G85).

Q: 9. Will this adapter work with my OM-D E-M10? If not can you recommend another adapter with iris control that will?

A: I don't think it will work on the e-m10 as it doesn't fit on the e-m1. Both have similar body shapes. No other recommendations except make sure any adapters say it works for your model.

Q: 10. Does this adapter work with Olympus OMD E-M5 camera? The Photodiox site says yes but your website says no.

A: Yes, the FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Shift Adapter for Nikon F-Mount Lens to Select Micro Four Thirds-Mount Cameras, will work with the Olympus OMD E-M5 camera.
