Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this camera output hd-sdi and h.264 via ethernet simultaneously?

A: Yes it can. All outputs are active simultaneously on the CV620-IP.

Q: 2. Do you need a CAT 6 or CAT6a to connect the camera and receive 4K video?

A: To get video signals from the PTZOptics Move 4K SDI/HDMI/USB/IP PTZ Camera with 20x Optical Zoom (Gray), you can use the HDMI, the SDI, and the ethermet port.

Q: 3. What cable would I use to place the camera 25-50 feet from the controller? The PTC-200 controller only had a short cable and I do not have the ability to build one of my own.

A: B&H # TEVMDX850 is a TecNec Visca Camera Control Cable 8-Pin DIN Male to Male 50 Feet that you can use. https://bhpho.to/2Jgf7nT

Q: 4. What is the main difference between this model AV-1562 and the AViPAS model AV-2020G?

A: While very similar to the AViPAS AV-1562 SDI/HDMI/USB PTZ Camera with PoE & 20x Optical Zoom, the AViPAS 3G-SDI/HDMI/USB PTZ Camera with PoE and 20x Zoom (Black) AV-2020G features a slightly wider lens, increased sensitivity down to 0.1 lux, and UVA support as well as UVC. The 2020G also does not have the block RS422/RS485 connection or USB 3.0.

Q: 5. Can the minimum pan and tilt speeds go below 1 deg/sec?

A: That would be a function of the controller it is paired with more than anything else. The compatible VS-PTC-200 that Marshall Electronics offers can be set to 3 different speeds, however there is not a setting that will go that slow. It may be possible if you set the controller to the slowest speed and manually turn the joystick gently though. This sounds like a very specific function you are looking for, feel free to email us directly at provideo@bhphoto.com so we can assist you further.

Q: 6. Can this camera be mounted on a tripod?

A: Yes, this can be mounted on a tripod.

Q: 7. Can you mount this camera to a tripod? If so, is there a recommended tripod model?

A: Yes, most PTZ on the market offer 1/4 sockets for mounting to tripods.

Q: 8. Does this camera have an interface/app that allows the control to come from a computer or device connected to the network?

A: No. The following unit is not app driven but can be driven by IR remote and PTZ controller.

Q: 9. Can anyone speak to the low-light performance of this camera's image sensor? Planning to use these models in a Synagogue install, where portions of the service will have dimmed room light. Not entirely dark.

A: Marshall lists this for use, among other things, for houses of worship. Users have reported excellent over all image quality.

Q: 10. What ethernet cable meets spec for this, to power it and control it? Can we use Cat 5e cable? Or does it need Cat 6?

A: The AViPAS AV-1562 SDI/HDMI/USB PTZ Camera can be driven via Cat 5 or Cat 6. Cat 6 Ethernet cables support data transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbps (10GBASE-T) for distances up to approximately 180 feet. Cat 5E cables can support Gigabit speeds but at a shorter distances (up to 5GBASE-T).
