Q: 9. What is the meaning of "V" ?

A: The “V” in the Hasselblad XCD 55mm f/2.5 V Lens, and others of that line are styled a bit like the V-mount lenses from the film era but are very much high-performing X system lenses with improved AF, more compact and lightweight profiles, and new control rings. The handling of the lenses has been upgraded, too, and the leaf shutter design has been retained, with all lenses supporting shutter speeds up to 1/2000-second with flash sync at all speeds.

Q: 10. does the V mean it can be used on v mount, such as the 907x ?

A: Yes. As both systems are a Hasselblad X mount.

Very nice focal length - wide but without distortion or vignetting when images are processed into Phocus software first. Quick focusing - seems quicker than the 45p and 65 XCD lenses I have been using. Extremely sharp even wide open.

I have used it with the X1DII and the X2D with excellent results. I set the cameras to Manual Focus then back button focus for autofocus. Set this way I can still manual focus by just turning the focus ring without sliding it forward - just like the standard XCD lenses. I use the rear control ring to change ISO since aperture and shutter speed rings are already available on top of the camera. This is a nice feature.

This is a surprisingly good portrait lens if I keep the subject in the center and crop in post. With so many pixels to work with I can still deliver significant enlargements.

The snail picture was taken as a grab shot with this lens on the X2D camera while picking grapes under overcast sunlight. The crop on this pictures is one tenth of the actual image size - shot at f2.5. This lens is highly recommended!

What a great lens!! Been waiting for the 28 but this became available so I splurged. So glad I did. I use it on my X1Dll and it’s just an amazing lens. Very clear, accurate and quiet. Manual operation works very well when needed.

lightwaight monster. im relatively new to Hasselblad family and VERY impressed with natural colors. Had Fuji GFX for many years and thank God I switched. Fuji was ok but colors took forever to tweak in post too often retelling down with results I didn't fully like, however this camera lens combination is absolutely mind blowing when you come to tunnel translations everything like natural contrast with organic cooking results. The only thing I have noticed that I don't like is shooting thin branches against the blue sky the blue around the edges of the branches look darker and a bit weird, but these are in high contrast scenarios, only which a lot of vices struggle as well, but overall outstanding lightweight compact lens, very easy to travel with and super powerful love the recommend

This lens on a 907X makes for a very handy package. It will cover most scenes and is so sharp that deep cropping is not a problem.
