This product is the HD version for AAX DSP, AAX Native, AU, and VST3 users. It is compatible with Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, Nuendo, Ableton Live, LUNA, Reaper, Sonar, Studio One, and other DAWs. The software also supports VENUE S6L systems.

Q: 1. Do all of the inputs need to be the same video format? I see it supports 1080p60 but will it accept a mix of 1080p60 and 1080p30 on the inputs?

A: No, each input is independent. We have several different resolutions coming into ours. From Blackmagic's website: "You get full frame re‑synchronization on all SDI inputs, which means that they can be any video standard and frame rate, and each input is completely independent of the others."

Q: 2. Does it support RTMPS like to broadcast for the latest Facebook Live needs?

A: Yes it does. You will be able to use this unit with Facebook Live through RTMPS.

Q: 3. 1) Is it possible to simultaneously output from both the HDMI and SDI ports so as to drive to external displays with the quad signal ?2) When viewing the quad signal on an output display, can one view only one of the four quadrants enlarged, and if so, is this control capability found on the Multiview Menu or on the touchscreen of the Display Monitor3) And would a choice of one or two viewing quadrants simultaneously affect both the outgoing HDMI and SDI signals, or can it be selective ?

A: 1) Yes both HDMI and SDI are active with the Mulitiview output. 2) The ability to Solo a single input is available through the DIP switches on the side. The bottom of the MV has a chart for the DIP switch settings also found in the manual. 3) With the MV4 you can display the 2x2 or Solo modes.

Q: 4. Does this allow you to do custom layouts? For instance if I'm only using 2 inputs, can I make input 1 full screen and input 2 in the lower right corner?I'm also looking at the DECIMATOR DMON-QUAD 4-Channel 3G-SDI Multiviewer which has custom layouts, but also costs $100 more.

A: No. There is only 4x4 output.

Q: 5. Will it work with Century link?

A: Yes the AmpliFi HD will work with Century Link.

Q: 6. can you select the profile and video level?

A: The device will allow for control of scaling options, frame rates, and bitrate structure -- no additional profiles or video level specifications are explicitly defined in the manufacturer's operating instructions for this device.

Q: 7. Can you set the SDI/HDMI output frame rate and resolution?

A: The Blackmagic Design Multiview 4 can be set to Ultra HD or HD output at either 29.97 or 25 frames per second. Use the video format setting to cycle through the available resolution and frame rate options.

Q: 8. Everywhere I review this product, most Q&A are up to 3 years old and I've a "today" question. My ISP's provided Router is on the other side of the house from my home office and my Wifi drops from 236 Mbps to 15 Mbps in the office. Yes, I can fix this with a Mesh Point positioned nearby but my office also has 2 Tower PC's that need a wired connection and I cannot get a wire into that room. What can I do?

Q: 9. Can I just buy one antenna, & connect it as an access point, to my current wifi? I have an Apple time capsule.

A: Do any of the responders own one? I use an Asus 87AC as my main router. Best I've ever had, but FULL signal was still an issue in some rooms and full signal makes a difference when streaming to Rokus and Google's Nexus Player. I added this mesh point. It was easy to install, it doesn't split the SSID up causing the user to have to manually control network handover. TL;DR No reason it shouldn't work unless Apple has somehow sabotaged it. My current router is great, but the suitable additional mesh point had made my home WiFi network even better. If I move to a larger house I will definitely purchase more of these. Full recommendation.

Q: 10. Does it work with windows 10?

A: You can control and configure the Monarch HD appliance using any device on your network that supports a standard web browsing application. Matrox Monarch HD is remotely controlled using any computer or mobile device with a web browser.

I bought one of these because I figured the package with the router and two of these would be overkill for the size of my home. So, I bought the Amplifi router and this together. The router install quickly and easily. This was no different. Once I plugged it in, it went through its set up. In must a minute, it was up and running. When I move around the house, my devices don't skip a beat. I'm loving the mesh experience and get far better coverage with a stronger signal all around my home. Loving it so far. 5

I have had the AmpliFi base router for a couple of years and found it to be a tremendous value but didnt bother with any mesh points as my home is small. I have outside shed thats been converted into an office though, and at first it connected fine, but maybe the profusion of wifi in the neighborhood is what has caused me to drop out of demanding online gaming events recently. I tried swapping channels, etc., but eventually decided to risk the very reasonable cost of approx. $100 on a mesh point. Installation couldnt have been easier; I plugged it in and opened my app. It was already visible on my network, I added it in with a single click and named it. Immediately my connection problems were 100% solved. I gamed all night with a perfect connection and zero dropouts, despite being across the backyard from my base router. Bottom line, if you already own a AmpliFi base router and want a stronger signal at a distance, this mesh point antenna is a no-brainer. Get one without delay. 5

We are two weeks into using our new AmpliFi MeshPoint so this is the first impression. So far, I am very happy with the MeshPoint because we can now stream movies and work on the computer much more robustly and reliably than with the extender. We used to have to unplug and replug the extender because the signal seemed to drop. SO far, the signal has stuck. We also used to have to use a mobile phone data plan to create a hotspot in order to have a robust signal in this location; now we can use the AT&T cable network. The AMPLIFI selling process is also a huge bonus because tech support, through a multi-day e-mail exchange, helped me identify several AmpliFi solutions compatible with my existing network. The documentation - product descriptions, installation instructions, are abundant and easy-to-understand. The MeshPoint is very easy to install/configure. 5

I have the Amplifi Mesh for several years. The difference between the old router and mesh network is day and night. This is my second standalone extender on the original mesh network. Again, the difference is amazing! 5

Excellent product. I used it with an Amplifi router, and that made it really easy to set up, but I suspect it is not much harder with any router. Good product. Coverage of our house and yard is great now. 5

I had purchased and installed a Ubiquiti AmpliFi HD 3-pack to convert my SOHO network into a full mesh. I then realized that I needed to add an additional MeshPoint to insure complete indoor as well as lanai coverage. After trying a number of sources to no avail I contacted B&H Photo and Video, and while they too were out of stock, they offered to let me advance purchase with a committed delivery date. It was a great service. My MeshPoint HD Satellite device arrived with eight days as promised and adding the device to the mesh was entirely automated 'plug and play'. I appreciated the customer focused solution approach as well as the tremendous technology. 5

Our Amplifi system worked great all over the house and most of the yard with only it’s two antennas. But I wanted to get internet radio down in the shop where I would lose signal occasionally. So I ordered one more from B&H and received it in just a couple days. Plugged it in the shop, turned on the app on my phone, and within seconds I had full strength over our entire property. It looks and works exactly like the ones that came with our system. Very happy with this purchase. 5
