Q: 3. Can this track be used at shorter lengths? 4' for instance

A: Yes, this offers three 4 foot sections. You do not need to use all 12 feet of track.

Q: 4. How many wheel are there in the order? Do I need to order 3 of this to get 3 wheels? or does 1 order come with 3 wheel sets?

A: Hi Minze,The wheel assembly consists of one baseplate, one allen socket bolt with bearings and a locknut for it to swivel on, and four wheels.If you go to the Glide Gear website, they show you in more detail how the Dolly Track Wheel Assembly works.Mine work very well and I'm very happy I bought them.

Q: 5. What kind of wrench can I take off the stock wheels and put these on? A regular wrench is too thick.

A: Echoing the previous response, it looks like a small channel lock or pliers would get the job done.

Q: 6. Is this strong enough to use with a doorway dolly?

A: What doorway dolly? This track is designed for use with the same manufacturer's Glide Gear SYL-960 Floor/Track Hybrid Tripod Dolly. That dolly has a rated capacity of 35 lbs. If you mean something like a Matthews Round-D-Round Doorway Dolly, that one has a capacity of 1100 lbs. So I would say no. Also keep in mind, doorway dollies cannot directly ride on these rails without skates.

Q: 7. What size is the nut/bolt? Wondering if these will fit the davis and sanford w3 dolly.

A: It comes with a 12mm bolt that you can remove and replace with what you need.

Q: 8. What is the length of the exposed bolt after the swivel bearings and hold down nut are installed?

A: When the Glide Gear Dolly Track Swivel Wheel Assembly is fully assembled, The bolt and swivel bearings are no longer visible.

Q: 9. how many of this come in order?

A: This comes with everything you need for one complete Glide Gear Swivel Wheel Assembly.

Q: 10. Would this track work with an indie dolly single man dolly?

A: The mattebox that it brings can be used with Revo SR-1500 Dual Grip Shoulder Support Rig for example for a Sony nex fs700?

I am copying artwork and wanted a simple system to move the camera closer and further away from the subject as I am using a prime lens. This along with the trolley is a great solution. Extremely easy to setup. Once the measurements were all done, I can move the camera back and forth with staying perfectly centered on the subject. Exactly what I was looking for. 5

Works great. More versatile than a doorway dolly. We were able to place the track across two corners of an elevated outdoor brick planters/landscape box. The position would have been otherwise impossible to capture with a traditional doorway dolly. Very cost effective and useful. Highly recommend if dolly shots are needed. As others have said, the spreader will not fit into the bag with the dolly wheels connected, but this can be accommodated by adding a basic plastic case to protect and transport the wheels. 5

This track is so great! Great value for the price. As someone who has worked with higher end Dollys in the past, this is a great reliable and easy to use track. Everything needed is included. I especially love the end spacers. The track actually snaps in. A+ 5

I bought this with the Glide Gear SYL 960 and together they work great (see my review on the Glide Gear 960). What I like best about this system is price, the convenience of a carry bag and ease of setup. I hated lugging my other dolly tracks to set since I used either white , ten foot, PVC tubing or ten foot steel pipe at one of those home improvement stores and I could never fit it properly in my truck since it always hung dangerously out the back. The Glide Gear track is well made and even comes with eight (8) rubber pads to stabilize the 12' track on flat floors. I love its total convenience and now no longer dread throwing loose PVC or steel pipe into my grip truck before a shoot. 5

This thing is great. Solidly built and comes with everything you need, including the rubber shims to keep it perfectly level. Packs up nicely into the case, and if you keep the foam padding it doesn't even rattle. I especially like that it is easy to choose what size you want: 4ft, 8ft, or 12ft. Makes it very versatile. 5
