The Photo 3-in-1 convertible monopod from National Geographic is a lightweight and easy-to-use all in one camera support solution for photographers and videographers. With a 5.5 lb load capacity, this monopod is compatible with compact and mirrorless cameras and includes an adjustable smartphone holder. This convertible support functions as a stand-alone monopod, a monopod with a sturdy tripod base, or a compact tabletop tripod.

The four-section aluminum monopod has a foam collar for easy and secure grip and is topped with a three-way pan/tilt head. The head has an integrated quick release set in the camera platform, and the platform can rotate 90° for vertical shooting. It also features an independent panning base with locking knob. An impressive maximum height of 6.2' makes it possible to record stills and footage over the heads of a crowd of people.

The tripod base and three-way head can be quickly removed from the monopod and combined to form a mini tabletop tripod, ideal for macro photography, teleconferencing, or making TikTok videos. The tripod base has two-section legs with flip-lock joints for quick adjustment.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this backpack have a compartment for a laptop, and what size a laptop can it take?

A: The Nat Geo Iceland M 17L backpack has a 15" laptop / 16" MBP compartment (14.2 x 10.6 x 0.8" / 36 x 27 x 2 cm).

Q: 2. Is the strap adjustable ?

A: Yes the strap is adjustable.

Q: 3. Will this bag hold a Fujifilm GFX100s 32-64 G mount and 100-200 G mount lens? I also have a 16" MacBook. Looks like a good day trip bag.

A: No, a Fujifilm GFX100S with a GF 32-64mm Lens and a GF 100-200mm lens cannot fit in this National Geographic Africa Camera Backpack M for DSLR/CS.

Q: 4. What kind of material the ball-head is made from?

A: Unfortunately, the specifications of the National Geographic Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod with Ball Head do not list what material the ball head is made of. It is made of metal, in my opinion it is aluminum.

Q: 5. Will this backpack hold a Nikon D610 a Nikon 24-120 a 18-35 and a 200-500 zoom lens plus assorted other camera gear?

A: Sadly, this beautiful bag does not have the capability of taking a full size DSLR plus three lenses. I would suggest either of these two similar priced, large enough to carry you gear but small enough for airline carry on. MindShift Gear BackLight 18L Backpack (Charcoal) MFR #520355. Think Tank Photo Airport Essentials Backpack (Small, Black) MFR #720483.

Q: 6. is it water resistant?

A: The National Geographic Shoulder Bag (Black, Medium) makes no claims about water resistance.

Q: 7. Can this bag hold and protect a Nikon Z7 body with 28-70 f4, 70-200 f4, and 200-500 f5.6 lenses?

A: Technically yes you can but it is a very awkward and a very odd design. I would recommend going to a bag that is a bit bigger and better laid out with better shoulder padding for that much gear.

Q: 8. Does the Acebil MP-285C monopod have a rubber foot or steel spike?

A: The Acebil MP-285C has a rubber foot.

Q: 9. Will it take the weight of Nikon Z50 50 - 250 mm lens?

A: The National Geographic Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod with Ball Head has a load capacity of 17.6 lb, so it will be able to support the 2 lb combined load of the Nikon Z50 Mirrorless Camera (B&H # NIZ50) and Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR Lens (B&H # NIZ50250).

Q: 10. Will this support the weight of my canon rebel with a sigma 150-600 lens?

A: The National Geographic Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod with Ball Head will be able to support the weight of the Canon Rebel DSLR camera with a Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary Lens for Canon EF, but we recommend a sturdier tripod (preferably with a gimbal head) for your set up.

I got a thing for National Geographic for many years and was fortunate to work with a field team on Gough Island a few years back. This bag is like stylish and my XT1 with 18/55 and 23prime fits with room to spare in the main compartment. An extra battery and charger, sd cards in the smaller outside pouches. I highly recommend this bag and I have the smaller one as well which looks almost identical which is ideal fort the XT1 with 23mm prime lens.
Great product and makes a great gift to a photographer - I intent to get another one for a friend from B&H!
