The Adapter for Minolta MD/MC/SR Rokker Lenses to Pentax Q Mount Mirrorless Cameras from FotodioX allows a Minolta MD/MC/SR Rokker lens to attach to a Pentax Q-series camera body. Adapting a larger format lens to a smaller format sensor provides optical as well as practical advantages. The smaller image field helps minimize the effects of lens distortion and aberration by using the center or "sweet spot" of the larger lens' image circle, thus providing edge-to-edge sharpness.

Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or other electronic functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. Manual or aperture priority mode must be used when this adapter is attached. Its all-metal design and polished surface provide smooth mounting and long lasting performance.

Q: 6. the 1.4x is to adjust for moving the length of the lense correct? i see a lot of huff saying the adaptor is adding a crop factor to their lenses but i thought it was an adjustment. i do believe there will be some light loss as well. is that correct?

Q: 9. Does this work with analgic Minolta SR lenses to Sony E mount?

Q: 10. Came with zero documentation. Description says can remove corrector lens, but w/o exact instruction on how I wont. SO HOW? Or am I missing paperwork?

A: To remove the magnifying glass from the Fotodiox mount adapters, first one needs a marcofiber cloth or a lens tissue. With protective material, grip the glass firmly in one hand, and the adapter edge with the other hand. Then one needs to rotate the adapter clockwise, while holding the glass still. The ring has quite a few threads so it may take many turns before the magnifying glass separates from the adapter. Be careful because the magnifying glass consists of 3 sections. Put the parts in a safe place, because one may be interesting in putting the adapter back together again.

I have several of these adapters and they work great for fitting vintage all-manual Minolta Rokkor MD and MC lenses to my Sony a7riii. Snug fit, but not too tight, and no light leakage (at small aperture or with ND filters) as with inexpensive Vello adapters which I have now either returned or thrown away. (I hope I am allowed to say that here.)

I got an old Minolta SRT101 with several nice lenses that I wanted to use with my Sony A5000. I sent a message to the pros at B&H and they instantly wrote me back what the right adapter was. My lenses clicked right into place perfectly and I can definitely use them for some cool shots! Thanks for the excellent customer service, price and quality product. I will buy again from B&H (this was the first time I had ever bought anything--a good experience for me). -Matt

Does what it's intended to do, I've purchased 2 and haven't noticed any quality concerns. Cheap enough that you can buy one for each of your Minolta lenses if you wanted, which is what I did. I great way to expand your lens arsenal on a budget.

I came across 4 Minolta lenses and I have a Sony aR7ii so I picked up one of these and it's been fun learning to shoot on these lenses so I picked up 2 more (one lens is busted) for the rest of them so I don't have to swap out. Love them.
