This 5-stop, 77mm Kolari Vision Pro IRND Filter is optically engineered to be the most neutral filter in the visible light spectrum and beyond into the infrared range. This filter delivers neutral darkening in every wavelength, and at every angle. Ultra-wide angle tested and approved for excellent vignetting and color cast performance. Built with premium ultra-thin, ultra-strong Corning Gorilla Glass, this filter is more than two times stronger than Schott B270 glass to direct impacts, and more resistant to scratches for better long-term durability. The slim-brass frame features knurling that helps with your grip, making it easier to attach and remove the filter.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. This filter has a 72mm filter thread. So, is it same to assume that a lens cap will also be 72mm?

A: That's correct, Lenscap is 72mm. This filter lives on my camera almost permanently. Worth every cent!

Q: 2. Hi everyone, besides of the fact that this filter makes your pictures pop, does it also protect the lens as well? (The lens I have is the Zeiss Batis 25mm f/2 with Sony A6000) Thank you.

A: Yes it does protect. Excellent alternative if you don't mined the light reduction

Q: 3. Can someone confirm if this 95mm still allows for the Sony 28-135mm factory hood to be mounted with the filter on? Thank you!

A: It does not allow for the factory hood to mount - it is too big for the hood to slide over the filter.

Q: 4. with an ultra-wide angle lens (i.e. Canon 16-35mm F4L with a full frame camera), do you get the dreaded X show up and if so at what density does it show up?

A: The X you can sometimes pick up in the image with a variable ND filter is caused most of the time by variable ND filters that go over 7-8 stops and lower quality ones. The B+W filter is fine. The one thing you might pick up is when set to the widest setting on that lens, 16mm you might pick up some vignette. And that is going to happen with that lens with most filters because of how wide it can go. The filter is designed with a thinner frame so it should be somewhat minimal.

Q: 5. Hi. Can this filter be used on a Leica 50mm APO-Summicron-M ASPH f/2.0 lens? Thank you.

A: The lens has a 39mm filter thread. This filter would not be compatible. B+W makes the same filter in 52mm. If you use a 39-52mm step up ring, then you will be able to use this filter on the Leica lens. Here is the step up ring: http://bhpho.to/1u0UKvfHere is the filter: http://bhpho.to/1qoJGa9

Q: 6. will this filter vignette with the Canon EF 16-35mm F4L lens?

A: I'm a Nikon shooter, so my answer is in that context. I no longer have my Nikkor 17-35, so the best other lens I could test it on is my Nikkor 12-24, which is a DX lens (also a 77mm diameter). Yours, however, is an FX lens, so I don't know how that may affect the comparison. I tested it on the D800, in full format mode. I noticed the beginning of vignetting when the focal length was 19mm. I did it a few times, and that was consistent. So, if this is in any way accurate, you can probably expect to lose a few mm of focal length at the3 wide end when you use this filter. I don't know if this filter is made in a thinner version for wide angle use. Hope this helped.

Q: 7. Will I be able to use my LX100 auto lens cap or JJC auto lens cap with this?

A: You will be able to use lens caps with this filter, yes.

Q: 8. How scratch resistant is this? -- Im also considering the Hoya HD3 as it multi-coating claims to help with scratch resistance

A: The ZEISS 82mm Carl ZEISS T* Circular Polarizer Filter features a world class coating, that is very scratch resistant. The advantage to the Hoya HD3, is it's anti-static capability. If one is working in a location with constant sand flying around the HD3 would be a good choice.

Q: 9. Are there any pros and cons between this Zeiss CP and a B+W Kaesemann CP?

A: I second the last reviewer. I have purchased and used both. Despite having a brass ring, the B+W has stuck to my lens thread. I even have a 72mm C-Pol filter by B+W with out of round adjustment ring. The worst part is that the polarizing film even has specks of dust trapped on the underside and mildly lifted at a small part of the edge (which I wasnt expecting for a Kaesmann). And there is even a part where the polarizing film was not even timed to meet the metal ring, leaving a micro gap prone to light leakage. Very disappointing for a B+W filter, given the price point. Otherwise, the optical quality was great. I have had mostly good luck with B+W filters except for this 72mm C-Pol and another 6-point star filter. Probably a QC issues at Schneider. The Zeiss is something else. The quality and craftsmanship are in a different league. The first thing you will notice when you open the package is the quality of the packaging. The filter comes out dust-free, a strong indication of a high-end facility from where it is produced. Dont be fooled by the aluminum ring. It easily tops all B+W filters I have ever used in terms of ease of attachment and removal. The machining of the threading is so precise it prevents any sticking at all. I have had zero issues in this regard. Optically, it is definitely no worse than B+W. but I dont know if it is better. QC is top notch just like any Zeiss products. Dont be discouraged by the fact that the Zeiss filter is made in Japan. Japanese are equally proud of their craftsmanship as their German counterparts. The extra cost is definitely worth the quality. All my future filters will be Zeiss.

Q: 10. Does the front filter thread rotate when changing ND Amount? Looking to add a step up ring and go to a matte box.

A: Yes, the front threads on this filter are a 86mm size.
