A: I have both. They are not interchangeable. They are different sizes and there is an internal bump for the wheels that is accommodated by the 1535 insert.

A: It is just the height of the divider. This is a kit for the Pelican 1520 Series Cases and fits perfectly. On other cases the fit is not guaranteed.

A: The dividers work well for vertical separation but would be more challenging to configure for items laid flat. I've used it with an I-Pad and placed a layer of foam on top of the pad - but didn't place lenses or cameras on top because of the space limitation. It would work better in my Pelican 1510 w/divider set. That would give more space to separate hard items from the computer.
