It features an aluminum-alloy construction with a hard anodized finish as well as the ability to focus to infinity. Additionally, this adapter features built-in iris control for manually changing the aperture of the lens.
Although the lens will physically fit, automatic lens control and functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. You can utilize aperture priority mode in combination with stop-down metering for automatic exposure control on your camera.

Q: 1. Will this adapter make my Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM work on the Fuji X-T10? Thank you!
A: You will be able to mount your 75-300 on the X-T10 a.f.a.i.k, ( it fits all X-mount Fuji cameras ) but be aware that you will not be able to stop you lens down, and what's more - the built in iris mechanism in this adapter is of no use, as you will get a circular formed photo on your sensor as you decrease the opening. If you can live with shooting with your lens wide open, this will solve your needs, if you need to stop down, then htis adapter is of no use
Q: 2. I just received Fuji X-Pro2 with Fotodiox yesterday. I mounted the Fotodiox and then a 50mm lens. I was able to manually focus (focus peaking works well), but I can't get the shutter to fire--I press the shutter button but nothing happens. Is there a setting in the camera that I need to change? Or is it the Fotodiox?
A: With my X-T1 it works when the menu item for soot without lens is set to yes. I would think that the X-Pros has a similar item in the menu. It is necessary as there is no electronic connection to the camera so it does not know that there is a lens attached.
Q: 3. Will this work with a Mamiya/Sekor f2 50mm lens? The issue is the extended post at the bottom of the lens.
A: Yes it will..there is an internal ring that will press aperture pin on M42 mount lens..depending on your lens your distance scale and such might not align in the exact center of camera...There are a few set screws you can loosen and reposition lens and re-tighten..
Q: 4. Is this the V2 adaptor that can be used with a Pancolar lens?
A: This is the V2 adapter.
Q: 5. work with the panasonic s1h?
A: No it will not work on the S1H. This is designed for M mount cameras and the S1H is an L mount camera.
Q: 6. so, i can manually focus (not auto focus) and still see in the view finder when I have a sharp focus?
A: Yes. That is the case.
Q: 7. does focus peaking and focus magnify work?
A: Yes on my XT1
Q: 8. This is an interesting, if confusing, lens. I understand that if I try to mount my canon EF 35f2 to the camera, the lens aperture will be stuck wide open to F 2.0. If I use the IRIS control on the adapter wide open, I will still have an effective 2.0 aperture, correct? If I close the IRIS on the adaptor, will my image become sharper, similar to stopping down the EF lens?
A: Yes, iris control on the adapter is the same as aperture control on a lens.
Q: 9. What frame lines will it show for leica film cameras?
A: It will not bring up any frame lines but the Leica film cameras have a manual lever so you can set the frame lines. The frame lines can be changed with the lever that's on the front of almost all Leica cameras, the little frameline selector level, It will change what you see in the viewfinder. The Leica M2, for example, has 35mm, 50mm, and 90mm frame lines inside. So if you are adapting an 85mm lens, you would probably want to use the 90mm frame lines so get a close estimate.
Q: 10. How does one deal with the focus in the rangefinder using this adapter?
A: As the FotodioX Minolta MD/MC Pro Lens Adapter does not have electronic contacts, and does not transmit information from the lens to the camera, autofocus is not possible when using this adapter. You will have to focus manually when using a manual-focus Minolta MD/MC mount lens on a Leica M-mount camera.
