- Product Code: ga11322

The FotodioX Canon EF Pro Lens Adapter for C-Mount Cameras is a high quality adapter that allows you to mount a Canon EF mount lens to a C-mount camera body. It features a brass construction with a stainless steel finish as well as the ability to focus to infinity. This works with a leaf spring system for a secure attachment of the lens to the adapter.
Although the lens will fit physically, automatic lens control and functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. You can utilize aperture priority mode in combination with stop-down metering for automatic exposure control on your camera.

Q: 1. I want to use this adapter with my XT-2 and Carl Zeiss (ZE) lenses, so I'm ok focusing manually, and I think the built-in iris control should help with the lack of an aperture ring on the lenses, but what kind of disadvantages should I expect by using these three (camera, adapter, lenses) together?
A: the aperture doesn't work - dont bother
Q: 2. Is this adaptor full compatible with a Canon M6 Mark II using a Tamron 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC Lens for Canon EF? I recently bought a Viltrox EF-EOS M2 0.71x Lens Mount Adapter for Canon EF-Mount Lens to Canon EF-M-Mount Camera and is giving me issues with autofocus and shows an ugly vignette in viewfinder and photos as well.
A: FotodioX Canon EF / EF-S Mount Lens to Canon EF-M Mount Camera Pro Adapter works perfectly on Canon Canon EOS M6 Mark II Mirrorless Camera and Tamron 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC Lens for Canon EF. The autofocus is consistent and smooth with photos and videos, even when face and eye detections are selected.
Q: 3. I am about to put my Rokinon Cine Primes on my Bolex H16 and shoot some Tri-X 200 asa. Has anyone tried this? Is there a calculation for setting exposure to adjust for using the c mount to eos ef Canon adapter? If no one responds I will be happy to post my results.
A: The iris on this adapter is not needed for use with manual lenses like the Rokinons. You just use the manual iris on the Rokinon lens while leaving the iris of the adapter at its widest opening. The adapters iris is meant to compensate for loss of the iris control of a Canon EOS EF lens. Now in the digital world you could just set this up and see the effect of the adapter iris immediately on screen. However, since you are shooting film, we suggest doing what a professional would do before principal photography and that would be to shoot an exposure test. (there is no available exposure calculation chart for this adapter.) Line up a shot of a person holding a grey card plus a notation of what the f/stop is that you have determined by using a light meter. You can use a clapperboard or a clipboard to display the card and the f stop. (Do yourself a further favor and have it held steady in the frame held by a grip stand.) I would shoot at a variety of f/stops so that I would know what was happening if I was to shoot at those f/stops. As you can see, we strongly suggest sacrificing a roll of film this way so that you know you are getting correct exposure once you start shooting for real.
Q: 4. Is it fully compatible with all lens functions, including image stabilization and autofocus? Thanks!
A: Yes you will still have full auto functionality using this adapter.
Q: 5. What is the maximum aperture of this unit? Are the marks indications of 1/3 stops or do they just serve as a rough guide?
A: The maximum aperture will depend completely on the lens you are using. It offers a built-in clickless iris which allows you to use your lens with some exposure control. There are 9 settings, however they act as a rough guide and how many stops they represent will again depend on the lens.
Q: 6. Will this work with the Fuji X-E1 and Canon EOS lenses? Thank you.
A: The FotodioX Canon EF Pro Lens Adapter with Built-In Iris Control for Fujifilm X-Mount Cameras will allow you to mount your Canon EOS lenses onto the Fuji X-E1 camera.
Q: 7. Hi, I have a Samsung mini and I recently purchased a c mount lens adapter. I was wondering if this adapter would fit my c mount adapter.
A: This is an adapter that allows you to mount Canon EF lenses on cameras with a C-Mount. I am not familiar with a camera called the Samsung Mini but if you are referring to one of their Smart Phones this product is unlikely to work. Feel free to email us directly at provideo@bhphoto.com if you require further assistance.
Q: 8. so, i can manually focus (not auto focus) and still see in the view finder when I have a sharp focus?
A: Yes. That is the case.
Q: 9. I have a Rebel T6. Will the lens that camera work on the M50 mark II with the adapter?
A: An EF-S lens originallly used on the Canon Rebel T6 will work on this Fotodiox adapter for use with a Canon EF-M mount mirrorless camera.
Q: 10. Does this work on Canon EOS M100?
A: Yes the FotodioX Canon EF / EF-S Mount Lens to Canon EF-M Mount Camera Pro Adapter is compatible with the Canon M100.
