A: As the other responders have mentioned, the switch does not have the Unifi management software built in...Cloud Key is one option or Mac/PC computer can run the software. Our setup is USG, 2 US-8-60W switches (to connect to buildings and provide POE power to 3 A/P's) 1 US-AC-Lite A/P, 2 AC-Mesh A/P's, 1 CloudKey and 3 Ring Camera's and 1 Ring Doorbell for security and wifi coverage over 3+acres. I used the CloudKey as this installation is for my in-laws for remote monitoring of the system. Unifi software, logs and Deep Packet Inspection, delivered via cloud was important so that I could monitor network and camera performance from a distance. The computer running the software does not need to be on 24/7 unless you want the analytics. Once the A/P is set up via computer it will deliver wifi without the controller being online. Running the Unifi full stack using USG and full time controller/CloudKey will allow you to get detailed system analytics and a lot of the advance features that Unifi provides in the equipment (VLANS, port forwarding, Intrusion Detection/Prevention, etc.). A: It could be wall mounted, but only with right-angle brackets that fit the hole patterns on the switch. No brackets are supplied with the switch. The patterns on the case appear to be like those you would find for rack mounting equipment with right-angle brackets on the left and right of the front face. Don't know thread of the holes. The square they form is 20mm center-to-center on a side. Square is 18mm from front, 12mm from bottom and 13mm from top. There are no openings on the top or bottom of the case.
