Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hi, Any ideas if this will fit a MIRANDA 24mm f2.8 for an old Olympus? (to a Nikon D90 camera)I have tried a simple Nikon to OM adapter ring, and it has the wrong screw hole spacing and no recess in the collar for the lens removal trigger.

A: No, that adapter is not compatible with the D90.

Q: 2. Approximately How much mm will be 58mm lens with this adapter?

A: The FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for M42 Lens to Nikon F Mount Camera has a 1.4x multi-coated focus correction lens. As such, you would have to multiply the focal length of the M42 lens you use with the above adapter by 1.4x to find your full-frame equivalent focal length. As such, a 58mm lens would have the equivalent focal length of a 81.2mm lens as 58mm x 1.4 = 81.2mm.

Q: 3. "Chrome-Plated Brass Mounts" - Even the Camera mount side? Looks rather like Aluminium!??

A: Both sides of this adapter are chrome plated.

Q: 4. is this adaptor compatible for cf 80mm lens for Canon EOS 5D mark ii -G?

A: No. Unless you have a Nikon F mount to canon EF adapter. I recently bought this adapter and was disappointed with the results. Just buy the canon 85mm 1.8 lens

Q: 5. Will it adapt a Hasselblad 80mm lens to a D7000 with full focus range

A: Yes, the FotodioX Pro Adapter for Hasselblad V Lens to Nikon F-Mount Camera will allow you to use a Hasselblad 80mm lens on a Nikon D7000 with the ability to focus to infinity.

Q: 6. I have ordered it but it doesn't work with my Sony lenses

A: This adapter does not work with Sony mirrorless E mount lenses. This adapter is for Sony DSLR A mount lenses.

Q: 7. Is there a focus ring on this Adapter ?

A: No, the focus ring is on your lens.

Q: 8. How do I remove the glass element from the fotodiox miranda to nikon lens adapter? Just curious that's all.

A: The glass is held in place by a retention ring which can be unscrewed. It's best if you use a lens cloth and grab onto the glass on either side of the adapter, then rotate the adapter to unscrew it. The retention rings are in place rather tightly so it will take some force to unscrew them at first.

Q: 9. Will this work with Contax G2 rangefinder lenses made by Zeiss?

A: Hi--yes, this adapter is compatible with Contax G2 lenses.

Q: 10. Will this adapter work with 28 mm f/2.8 ELMARIT-M Asph?

A: Yes, you can use this adapter to mount a Leica 28mm f/2.8 Elmarit lens on a Nikon F mount body.

FotodioX Nikon F Lens to FUJIFILM G. It is a super adapter on which the aperture can be set. I bought it because of the Nikon 10.5 /2,8 lens, which I will use on the Fuji GFX.

Having used this product for roughly a week, I am still amazed every time I use it. To have an adaptor from two different worlds to take my artistic whims to a different level is inspiring. My girlfriend has upgraded to a Nikon Z7, and having kept her 100 mm macro lens from her previous set-up was all but happy to lend me her lens ... for a while. The FotodioX is really, really well made, I can only but recommend it. Cheers, R

It's one solid piece of metal and works well. The thing to keep in mind is, since it moves the focal plane of the lens further away, your C-Mount lenses will be extreme macro lenses (which is what I was looking for).

I have 6 Nikon lenses and wanted to use them on my new love, my GFX 100s. Love this camera but only have 2 lenses for it the 45 and 110. Now I have 8 lenses for it and it's all thanks to this inexpensive adapter. These are some things you need to know. On the GFX 100s , go to SET UP in the menu. Under SET UP go to BUTTON/DIAL SETTING. Shoot without lens is under this section, turn it on. If you want the camera to use only a 35mm equivalent part of the sensor go to SHOOTING SETTING to find 35mm format mode but if you want to choose yourself what format you would like to shoot in, leave that off. What I have found is, some of my lenses cover the entire sensor better than others, but surprisingly there isn't as much vignetting as I expected. Cropping the full GFX sensor slightly to the standard 8x10 format seems to eliminate most of the darker corners. I have not found it difficult to focus using this fantastic camera and the Nikon lenses manually but shooting up close and wide open yields some too soft results. My 20mm 1.8G Nikon did great up close though and this camera delivers so much information cropping is no problem. I've had no problem getting any lens on the adapter or the adapter on the body. I've only put the adapter on the body with a lens already on the adapter, but once on , I have changed lenses without removing both. BTW, the adapter comes with no instructions at all. I do set the red adapter ring to the widest opening when attaching a lens and the Nikon aperture ring lock is set to off. Once on the camera, I move the red ring to the smallest opening and on Nikon lenses with an aperture ring, I can then control the aperture from the lens, not the adapter. Simpler to use than I expected and has opened up a whole new way of looking at how to use this camera.
