The self-contained, all-in-one design in this master headset eliminates wires and belt-worn radios by placing the transceiver in the earcup. This allows the headphone to provide two-way voice communication for users that need to work with their hands. The mic boom arm swivels 270°, so the mic can be worn on the left or right ear. The microphone mutes when in the up position.

The UltraPAK is an ergonomic beltpack radio that can be integrated into Eartec's UltraLITE full-duplex wireless series. These compact digital transceivers have been designed specifically for those users that need hands-free voice communication and also require a lightweight, headset accessory. UltraPAK transceivers weigh only 2.5 oz and feature an ergonomic design, so they fit comfortably when belt worn. They include 5 volume control adjustments and a mic mute button with an LED indicator that illuminates when gain is set to standby.

For those folks that prefer a lightweight headset, the Cyber is a suitable option. A thin back band is what sets the Cyber apart from regular headsets. Instead of a standard over-the-top-style headband, the Cyber's band actually runs behind the user's neck, while the miniature speaker sits comfortably on the ear. This unique design provides a discreet, unisex fit.

The UltraLITE headset and each UltraPAK beltpack includes a rechargeable lithium battery. The battery is lightweight and only about the size of a book of matches. It charges in approximately 3 hours and operates the headset for 6 hours. The removable battery can be changed out in seconds and charged externally in the included multi-port charger.

Each UltraLITE wireless system includes a multi-port charger that can charge the headset batteries in individual bays. When each battery reaches full charge, the corresponding LED turns from red to green, indicating that the battery is ready to go. This feature allows users to have extra batteries on hand in the charger whenever necessary.

Constructed of waterproof nylon, this headset case includes internal compartments, so the headsets stay organized. There is also a pocket with a hook-and-loop enclosure for the charger and any spare batteries. The molded hard plastic handle makes transport easy and convenient for location work.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. my ideal camera production involves 4 cameras and a director,can i have at-least 5 headsets?

A: You can have up to 7 but you need the additional hub for this system. Search for the other Eartec products and find the one for 5, 6, or 7.

Q: 2. Can you use this for High school football coaching staff

A: The UltraLITE system by EARTEC is a self contained wireless communication system. All the headsets are capable of two way communication with each other with no button pushing (push to talk) required. It can be used indoor or outdoor and has a range of approximately 1000 feet when all units are within line of sight of each other.

Q: 3. do you need a base station for this to work?

A: No, the Eartec UltraLITE Single Full-Duplex Wireless DECT Intercom System with 4 UltraPAKs and 4 Cyber Headsets does not require use of a base station like the Eartec HUB. This system uses an UltraLITE Master Headset, which has the transceiver built into the earcup, and it is used to control the four included UltraPAK Remote Beltpack Radios and the Cyber Headsets that are connected to them.

Q: 4. Can you add headsets to this system?

A: Yes, there is a Master unit and slave units. You can add as many slave units as you need, just keep adding them once you turn on the master. This is a 3 person, but I own the four set - one master and three other units. My friend has 6-8 in operation at a time.

Q: 5. Hello, I'm wondering if this system carries a PUSH-TO-TALK feature or are all of the headsets continuously open?

A: This system uses the POSITION of your microphone, as in:Position microphone UP = mutedPosition microphone down (front of mouth) = talk and continuously open until you move the mic back up again

Q: 6. is this system expandable? If I want to buy 2 more headsets later, will they work with this?

A: Thank you for your question. You can expand this system with 2 more headsets buy purchasing 2 more remote units (B&H # EAULSR). You can use up to 5 without purchasing the eartec hub.

Q: 7. Are these water resistant?

A: The Eartec UltraLITE headsets are not water resistant

Q: 8. Do you think this would work when filming bands at high volume?

A: Yes, the Eartec UL5D system is designed for effective voice communication even in high-volume and high-noise environments.

Q: 9. the extrenal hub gives you more covered distance and better signal? im afraid of having interference on concerts with 2000 cellphones around...

A: The Eartec UL4S UltraLite system operates in the 1920 to 1930 MHz range. 900MHz, 1800MHz and 1900MHz frequencies are not used in the US with the exception of 1 band using 1900MHz. Most cell phones in the US operate in the 800MHZ frequency range. So the risk of any problems with cell phones is pretty much slim to none. Not to mention the protocols are different between cell phones and professional duplex intercom and IFB systems.

Q: 10. When you flip the boom mic up, does it mute the mic only or both mic and earphone?

A: The UltraLITE headset, which is the headset that is included with the Eartec UltraLITE 4-Person Full-Duplex Wireless Intercom with 4 Single-Ear Headsets (1.9 GHz, USA), will mute the mic when its boom arm is flipped up, but the headphone will remain active so that the coms can continue to be monitored by the user.
