Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. fuij gfx 50R can use this adapter ? thank you

A: As the FUJIFILM GFX 50R Medium Format Mirrorless Camera uses the Fujifilm G-mount, yes, the FotodioX Nikon F Lens to Fujifilm G-Mount Camera Pro Lens Mount Adapter, B&H # FOPLMANNFGFG, would be compatible for use on the Fujifim GFX 50R Medimum Format Mirrorless Digital Camera. Do note that FotodioX recommends using Nikon full-frame lenses, particularly 85mm lenses and longer. Most 50mm lenses and all tilt/shift lenses should produce image circles large enough to cover the medium format sensors, though their performance will only have been optimized for their native formats. Wide angle lenses (wider than 50mm) will vignette on the Fujifilm GFX camera. This is a manual adapter, so lens functions that rely on electronic communication with the camera body (autofocus, AE metering, image stabilization, etc.) will not be operable..

Q: 2. I have 2 Pentax lenses the smc Pentax-A 50mm f2 and the MC SOLiGOR c/d zoom +macro 80-200mm lens is that adapter will work for Nikon d7000 if yes pls pm me asap thans

A: I am using the adapter with a Vivitar 135 mm lenses on a Nikon D700. The quality is ok but I have not found it exceptional. I would need more experience to give a definite opinion one way or another. I just got the adapter and have not taken a lot of photos yet.

Q: 3. Will this adapter let me use Super-Takumar lenses and Pentax M42 extension tubes with a D3400?

A: I used with a vivitar 500mm m42 mounted to a Nikon d800. Lots of vignetting, but hey you cannot expect perfect results. I cropped in and got some great images.

Q: 4. Hello. If the adapter has a lens 1.4x, does it mean that a Helios 58mm in a Nikon D5600 will become in a 113mm (58 X 1.4 X 1.4) (correction factor of the camera and correction factor of the adapter)?

A: If you are looking for the 35mm equivalent focal length of a full-frame lens with a native 58mm focal length used on a Nikon APS-C sensor with the FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for M42 Lens to Nikon F Mount Camera, the new equivalent 35mm focal length would be 121.8mm. Your math was close, but in your (58 x 1.4 x 1.4) equation, you mis-typed the camera's crop factor, which is 1.5x. As such, 58mm x 1.4 would be 81.2mm, which is the equivalent focal length when using the Fotodiox adapter on a camera with a full-frame sensor, and you would then multiply 81.2mm x 1.5, which equals 121.8mm, which would be the 35mm equivalent focal length when used on the 1.5x APS crop sensor found in the Nikon D5600 DLSR camera.

Q: 5. What is the weight?

A: According to Fotodiox, the NIKG-GFX-PRO would weigh only 5 oz.

Q: 6. Will this adapter LOCK on to the camera? I bought a cheaper one, and it does NOT lock!

A: Yes it does lock

Q: 7. Will this work with Pentax Super Multi Coated Takumar lenses? Pentax lenses seem to use a different M42 thread...

A: The Pentax older lenses are M42, maybe the threading is fine but M42 all the same and this adapter should work.

Q: 8. Is there an adaptor for Leica M lenses to Nikon F mount?

A: No, M42 refers to a 42mm screw mount lens like M39 refers to a 39mm Leica screw mount lens. I am not sure what lenses use a 42mm mount, certainly not Leica.M lenses use the M bayonet mount, which is the same a Visoflex bayonet mount. You need a Leica/Leitz visoflex to Nikon F mount adapter.

Q: 9. I have a special visoflex-M 90mm f2 summicron that I'd like to use this adapter with. my lens has a lip that extends out to the same distance as the mount itself. this adapter looks like it could work, but can this be confirmed for me?

A: yes it should work.

Q: 10. Is this the correct adapter for Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 58mm F2 to Nikon D800 ? Will it allow infinity focus?

A: Yes, the FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for M42 Lens to Nikon F Mount Camera can be used to mount the Carl zeiss Jena Biotar 58mm f2 lens to the Nikon D800 Digital SLR Camera.

FotodioX Nikon F Lens to FUJIFILM G. It is a super adapter on which the aperture can be set. I bought it because of the Nikon 10.5 /2,8 lens, which I will use on the Fuji GFX.

Having used this product for roughly a week, I am still amazed every time I use it. To have an adaptor from two different worlds to take my artistic whims to a different level is inspiring. My girlfriend has upgraded to a Nikon Z7, and having kept her 100 mm macro lens from her previous set-up was all but happy to lend me her lens ... for a while. The FotodioX is really, really well made, I can only but recommend it. Cheers, R

The one I got works perfectly, and aperture rotates smoothly. Does exactly what it's supposed to do, and can't beat the price!

I have 6 Nikon lenses and wanted to use them on my new love, my GFX 100s. Love this camera but only have 2 lenses for it the 45 and 110. Now I have 8 lenses for it and it's all thanks to this inexpensive adapter. These are some things you need to know. On the GFX 100s , go to SET UP in the menu. Under SET UP go to BUTTON/DIAL SETTING. Shoot without lens is under this section, turn it on. If you want the camera to use only a 35mm equivalent part of the sensor go to SHOOTING SETTING to find 35mm format mode but if you want to choose yourself what format you would like to shoot in, leave that off. What I have found is, some of my lenses cover the entire sensor better than others, but surprisingly there isn't as much vignetting as I expected. Cropping the full GFX sensor slightly to the standard 8x10 format seems to eliminate most of the darker corners. I have not found it difficult to focus using this fantastic camera and the Nikon lenses manually but shooting up close and wide open yields some too soft results. My 20mm 1.8G Nikon did great up close though and this camera delivers so much information cropping is no problem. I've had no problem getting any lens on the adapter or the adapter on the body. I've only put the adapter on the body with a lens already on the adapter, but once on , I have changed lenses without removing both. BTW, the adapter comes with no instructions at all. I do set the red adapter ring to the widest opening when attaching a lens and the Nikon aperture ring lock is set to off. Once on the camera, I move the red ring to the smallest opening and on Nikon lenses with an aperture ring, I can then control the aperture from the lens, not the adapter. Simpler to use than I expected and has opened up a whole new way of looking at how to use this camera.

Works great at adapting my legacy lenses to the GFX.

It's one solid piece of metal and works well. The thing to keep in mind is, since it moves the focal plane of the lens further away, your C-Mount lenses will be extreme macro lenses (which is what I was looking for).
