This 2" long Quick Release NATO Safety Rail from CAMVATE incorporates a NATO rail into your camera rig configuration. The rail attaches to your rig via a built-in 3/8"-16 screw with ARRI locating pins. At either end of the rail is a safety pin to prevent your NATO-compatible accessory from sliding off accidentally while mounted.

Good quality and relatively cheap, considering the prices of plates from other manufacturers. I use this plate on a 60D with a Sachtler FSB-4 head, instead of the factory Sachtler plate, which is too long for keeping attached to a DSLR in the field, in my opinion. 5

I have a Manfrotto 701HDV head, and I needed a second plate to mount a slider on top of the head. A simple jaunt over to B&H.com to pick up a second Manfrotto plate. Simple and does what it's supposed to do. The only downside that I've noticed is the two rubber strips are starting to peel up a bit. This might be due to the weather, as it's been particularly hot as of late. Might take a blade to trim off the tips that are exposed under the slider...or some gaff tape. 5
