Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this compatible with the HMD 280-13 headset?

A: The Sennheiser BMD42 will not work with the HMD 280-13. For a replacement, please request a special order through our phone system for a Sennheiser catalog # 083411.

Q: 2. Can we use PreSonus PD-70 for record/singing YouTube videos?

A: The PD-70 is intended for use in broadcast applications, but more for speaking than singing. If the primary application is singing, you may want to consider a microphone designed for singing, like the Shure SM58-LC Vocal Microphone (B&H # SHSM58LC) or Sennheiser e 835 Cardioid Handheld Dynamic Microphone (B&H # SEE835) which are both good for performance and recording, or the Audio-Technica AT2035 Cardioid Condenser Microphone (B&H # AUAT2035) or AKG Project Studio P220 Large-Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone (B&H # AKP220B) which are large diaphragm condenser mics for studio and live performance. B&H has a vast selection of microphones so please feel free to contact us by phone or through live chat on the website if you would like further assistance.

Q: 3. Is PreSonus PD-70 can be use for singing purpose?

A: Yes. This mic can be used for singing.

Q: 4. Does the mic mute when you turn it straight up like on other comm headsets?

A: Yes, the microphone on the Sennheiser HMD 301 PRO-X4F Single-Sided Broadcast Headset can be muted when the boom is moved to an upright position.

Q: 5. Sennheiser MD-46, where is the serial number located and how do I get to it?

A: I couldn't find teh serial number. This mic really disappointed me. It was very expensive and produces an annoying noise. I thought was my mixer, but I tried oder mic and the noise have disappeared.

Q: 6. what is the driver size?

A: Thank you for your question. According to Sennheiser Techs they do not have the exact driver size available for this headset. The approximate it to be 38mm due to the common form factor of this headset line.

Q: 7. Is the MD-46 or the Electro-voice RE50 better in windy conditions? Which handles wind gusts better without a fur wind screen?

A: Neither one is going to handle wind well. Get a fur wind screen! Probably the MD46 is better, but that's not saying much under windy conditions.

Q: 8. Can you recommend an Audio Interface suitable for hmdc27?

A: There are numerous options for a USB audio interface that can be used to connect the Sennheiser HMDC 27 Professional Broadcast Headset and Cable to a computer. One of the most popular models is the Focusrite Scarlett Solo USB Audio Interface (B&H # FOSCARSOLO3GO), and the Arturia MiniFuse 1 Portable 1x2 USB Type-C Audio Interface (B&H # ARMINIFUSE1B) is another good option. The headset's mic connects to the XLR input on the interface while the headphones connect to the unit's 1/4" TRS headphone jack. You will need to set up your computer's system preferences for audio (sound) to select the interface as the option for the input and output device so the headset's mic and headphones are what will be used for the mic and speakers.

Q: 9. Hi, what are the dimensions of the box that this comes in? Thanks

A: Hi, the Box Dimensions would be as follows 20 x 16 x 14.

Q: 10. Is this the headset only without the cable? Or does this include a cable?

A: This listing for the Sennheiser Single-Sided Broadcast Headset with Hyper-Cardioid Dynamic Microphone does not include a cable, which should be selected and added separately.
