For protecting your camera and telephoto lens from the elements, use the RainCoat 2 Pro Camera Cover (Digital Camo) from LensCoat. This product affords easy access to camera and lens controls while deflecting water, snow, salt spray, dust, sand, and dirt. Constructed from a lightweight waterproof and breathable poly tricot material with tape-sealed seams, this cover also features an integrated storage pocket and left side foldaway arm sleeve for easy access to lens controls and manual focus operation. This RainCoat 2 Pro is designed for use with DSLR cameras with 200-400mm, 300mm f/2.8, or 800mm-sized lenses. A hood extension sleeve is included for complete coverage of 600mm and 800mm lenses with attached hoods.

Cinch straps are incorporated into the front and rear of the cover for adjusting the fit of the case to your specific lens. The two side pockets both reveal foldaway arm sleeves for protected access to your camera. The rear of the cover can also be exposed if complete access is needed, and the bottom of the case features a hook-and-loop fastened seam for attaching a tripod. This product is made in the USA.

This digital camo version provides a computer-generated pixelated pattern that mimics naturally occurring textures and rough boundaries.

Pro size is ideally suited for DSLRs with 200-400mm, 300mm f/2.8, and longer prime telephoto lenses up to 800mm. The hood extension sleeve provides full coverage of 600mm and 800mm lenses when using them with their hoods attached.

Cinch straps adjust the total cover length by folding the material over itself and keeping the cover snug on variable sized lenses.

Lightweight, waterproof, and breathable poly tricot material with tape-sealed seams protects the lens and camera from rain, snow, salt spray, dirt, sand, and dust.

No-slip rubber is added to the front section to provide a solid grip on the lens hood without the use of a bungee cord.

Two integrated side pockets reveal foldaway arm sleeves for easy access to camera and lens controls.

A hook-and-loop closure runs along the bottom of the cover to permit the use of a tripod or monopod, as well as manual focus control of the lens barrel.

The size and shape of the rear opening can be adjusted for greater protection or for easier control access. This cover does not require the use of a dedicated eyepiece.

A mesh storage pouch is included for packing the cover when not in use.

Compatible with optional LensCoats, Hoodie lens caps, and camera BodyGuards.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this fit a 7Dii with either ef300f/2.8 or ef100-400ii mounted on a wimberley side kick gimbol ?

A: Yes, LensCoat RainCoat Large Sleeve will perfectly fit the Canon 300mm F2.8 lens with lens hood on the 7D mark II. It will also work for the 100-400mm fully extended on the camera. The cover is design with a velcro patch so the user can have access to put the cover on the equipment while mounted on any tripod head.

Q: 2. Will the cover fit on a mamiya 7II?

A: Yes, it will fit a Mamiya 7II.

Q: 3. Other than long lenses I have a few wide angle lenses (Like Nikon 14-24 and Nikon 8-15) can this raincoat be adjusted in case I would want to use one of the small lenses?

A: It won't work with a small lens like that as the material will bunch up too much. I would recommend a smaller rain cover like this one for those lenses. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1431014-REG/think_tank_photo_740618_emergency_rain_cover_small.html

Q: 4. Can you use it on a 24-105mm lens? Or will it overshadow it?

A: Yes there would be to much fabric

Q: 5. Does the cover works with a Gimbal head?

A: I don't have a gimbal head, but one side is connected with Velcro and there is lots of room for a gimbal head when the straps are fully extended.

Q: 6. I hand carry my camera and 500mm lens. I have a strap connected on one end to the camera and the other end to the lens (on the tripod foot). Would I be able to carry my camera and lens with this cover on it? Thanks.

A: You can hand carry your camera while this cover is placed over it.

Q: 7. Will the lenscoat bodyguard CB work with this cover?

A: The camera could be in the LensCoat BodyGuard CB when using the LensCoat RainCoat 2 Pro Camera Cover.

Q: 8. Is large the right size for the Nikon 500mm PF lens? The whole thing (including my camera) measures just over 14".

A: Yes this cover is fine for the Nikon AF-S 500mm PF lens.

Q: 9. Will this fit with a Wimberely Sidekick attached to a RRS ballhead and a 600mm Nikon lens?

A: It should fit with no problems. I use the Raincoat with my 600mm Nikon lens on Wimberly head. The Raincoat has a Velcro bottom closure that fits around the mounting foot so there is no interference with the mounting foot and head.

Q: 10. can use it with canon 1dx + 70-200 mm lens ?

A: The cover fit over my Canon Rebel XSi with a Sigma 150-600mm lens fully extended (including shade). The fit had enough space to operate both camera and lens.

Although I need to get caught up in the rain, this seems to be what I will be happy that I purchased. I have done test-runs with fitting it to my gear and as we all know, practice is what gets us to Carnegie Hall. Don’t wait for a rainstorm to whip it out.

Tried for the first time and was a little nervous in a downpour but not one drop or any moisture touched the camera. VERY PROUD of the purchase of this RainCoat!

This is typical quality from Lens Coat. I have a lot of their products and have never been disappointed. You can access your camera body from the back, you can access the focus or zoom through the sleeve and if you don't want to use the sleeves on either side, you can use them as pockets.

My only complaint is as a wildlife photographer, we are always battling weight allowances and this little unit takes up a lot of room and a lot of weight based on what it is. That being said, it is also protecting your most valuable assets while on safari...So, I will just take a couple fewer shirts I suppose. :)
