Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this cover a D500 with 200-500 lens on Wimberley gimbal head?

A: No, the LensCoat RainCoat Large Sleeve rain protector will cover the Nikon D500 with the Nikon 200-500mm lens, but not if it is mounted on a Wimberley gimbal head. A better rain protector would be the Vortex Media Pro SLR Storm Jacket Camera Cover, X-large: https://bhpho.to/2Y31JYh

Q: 2. What size fits Sony FE 400 2.8 GM? Thank you.

A: The 3XL will fit your Sony 400mm.

Q: 3. How well does this fit the Sony 400 2.8 GM?

A: This would work well with a Sony Mirrorless camera and the 400mm f/2.8 GM. Used an A9ii and the 400 GM which is about 15 and half inches long without a lens hood.

Q: 4. Will this fit on R5 with RF 800mm with lens hood, from the rear of R5 to the front of the lens is 21 inches total.

A: The LensCoat RainCoat Large Sleeve (Realtree Max4) is the correct size for the Canon EOS R5 with the Canon RF 800mm f/11 IS STM Lens and hood.

Q: 5. Will this fit a Sony FE600 F/4 hood, with a lenscoat camo coating already on the hood?

A: The LensCoat Hoodie Lens Hood Cover (3X-Large, Digital Camo) is too large for the Sony FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS Lens with the lens hood on reverse. You will need the LensCoat Hoodie Lens Hood Cover (Large, Digital Camo) instead. https://bhpho.to/3vlRfZS

Q: 6. What's the difference between regular, Max 4, and Max 5?

A: Max 4 and Max 5 are two popular camouflage patterns designed by RealTree. Max 4 is a well established, popular pattern which we have been selling for many years. Max 5 is a newer pattern which also includes some green leaf elements. Both are great all round camouflage patterns.

Q: 7. Is this the right size for a Nikon d600 and a 70-200 2.8 nikon lens?

A: The large RainCap from LensCoat is too big for the Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 since the lens diameter is only 3.4 inches. You will want the small version, which will suit lenses with diameters up to 5.25 inches: http://bhpho.to/1gWKewI

Q: 8. Does this fit on Sony A7r + 70-200 MM lens?

A: While you can fit a Sony A7R and a FE 70-200mm f/4 G OSS Lens in this rain sleeve, it would be too large. A better size would be the LensCoat RainCoat RS (Rain Sleeve) (Medium, Black) B&H # LELCRSMBK. Please see the image below for reference.

Q: 9. Will this hood size XXX-Large fit the new Nikon 500 f4 E lens?

A: I bought the cover for a Canon 16-35 mm lens that uses 82mm filters. It fit the front of the lens.

Q: 10. Will this fit a Nikon 200-500 at full extension?

A: Yes, it's OK for my NIKON D750 and lens Nikon 200-500.Always in my bag.

A nice item I got  for half price when buying my rain cover through B&H. It is quite large but it works with both my Nikon 200-400 and 200-500. A bit big but cinch it tight and it works fine. I cannot see letting this dangle when shooting in the rain. It would get soaked and you certainly dont want it back on your big glass if it is wet. I see this being used and then stashed in a  pocket or camera case until needed again to keep your lens dry.

I love these caps for hiking, especially on the seashore, protecting my big lenses from harsh elements. Easy to put on and take off. Hang it on the camera strap with the included short leash when not in use. Super!

It only makes good sense to add this to the Realtree rain coat cover. Your already out there and if the wind changes, this cover makes it so easy, quick and convenient to protect the lens from water spotting. The rain cap comes with a strap and clip to keep it handy and close. The material of this and the rain coat are almost silent. I think the cost for this and the raincoat are a small price to pay for the protection and the ability to stay and get the shot. If your serious why let a little rain or snow stop you?

The lens cap cover fits over the lens hood easily. It keeps rain or dust off of the lens hood and lens when you're waiting for that shot. I got it with the larger Lenscoat rain cover for the Nikon 300 mm f/2.8. I think the digital camo is the best color for the dry brown southwestern US.
