This lens would exactly what was expected and was at the best price I've seen in all of Canada. The thing I hope will be great is the stabilization feature. There is no store out there in Canada that would have anything better! 5

Pictures are clear, even on long exposures thanks to the image stabilization, which works great. Did a spectcaular job canceling out minor shaking while taking nighttime/low light photos. When taking LONG time exposures from a tripod (like 30 second astro photos), I noticed the stabilization actually hurt rather than helped. If the camera is on a steady base, the IS should be turned off. Thankfully it is conveniently located. Would be happier with a faster lens, but this is what was available at this price point. Which amkes it great for the money. 5

I use the lens for family photos. I occassionally take portraits for friends and cannot wait to put it to use for that. We recently have had a snow storm and I was able to get some great photos of the area as well as the kids playing. Love it!! It is amazing - the difference that this lens makes in photos compared to the lens that came with my camera. 5

I am an amatuer photographer and this is my first telephoto lens. This lens has been simply fantastic. For the money, I am beyond pleased. It does have a little issue on poor lighting scenarios, but overall I am thrilled with it's performance. 5

This lens was a perfect match for my 18-55 kit lens. While it may not be the most expensive, nor even close to the best glass, it places you on the path to extraordinary photos. For one, it will provide the causal amateur, to the budding professional, with the perfect range to capture all those special moments. In addition I have enjoined the IS feature, since it allows me to capture better images at the telephoto end. I currently use this with my T1i while in school for integrated media. The compactness fits perfectly in my bag, with my books. If it had Full Time Manual it would be a perfect accessory for your crop lens needs. 5
