The Sony E mount 75mm T2.9 Anamorphic 1.6x Lens, from Sirui, fills a theater screen with rich detail, cinematic bokeh, and artistic lens flairs. This full-frame lens produces oval bokeh and horizontal blue streaks, giving your footage a dreamy or science fiction aesthetic. An image captured in 16:9 is de-squeezed to an anamorphic 2.8:1 aspect ratio, whereas shooting in 3:2 yields a 2.4:1 final image.

Its T2.9 aperture produces a shallow depth of field, blurring everything in front or behind the specifically chosen focal plane. This 75mm features female 1/4"-20 threading for a lens support, and its focus and aperture rings are uniformly geared like its 50mm companion for use with a follow focus and lens control systems.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the focus manual and auto?

A: The Sirui 75mm T2.9 Full Frame 1.6x Anamorphic Lens (Sony E) is manual focus.

Q: 2. Is this lens compatible with Sony Alpha A6700 ?

A: The Sirui 35mm T2.9 1.6x Full-Frame Anamorphic Lens (Sony E) is a full frame lens, and the Sony A6700 is a APS-C sensor. We recommend Super 35 lenses for your camera model. Or you could work with a wider angle full frame lens (24mm) to cover the APS-C sensor of the A6700. We suggest working with an S35 sensor lens that will give you a 21:9 aspect (Wide) aspect ratio before the De-squeeze. Sirui 35mm T2.9 1.6x Full-Frame Anamorphic Lens (Sony E) BH #SIVENUSE35

A: The Sirui 35mm T2.9 1.6x Full-Frame Anamorphic Lens (Sony E) is compatible with full frame sensors, as well as any other sensor, smaller than full frame. On a Sony FX30, this lens would act approximately as if used on a super 35mm sensor.

A: No, the Panasonic BGH1 uses a Micro Four Thirds mount.

Q: 6. Is this lens adaptable to EF?

A: No, unfortunately, the Sirui 50mm T2.9 Full Frame 1.6x Anamorphic Lens (Sony E), cannot be adapted or modified for use with an EF mount. Mirrorless lens must be closer to the sensor, and no adapter would be able to compensate.

Q: 7. What is the image circle?

A: The Sirui 50mm T2.9 Full Frame 1.6x Anamorphic Lens (Sony E) in order to say it is full frame, it must have an image circle of 43.4mm.

Q: 10. hi i am using this lens for still photography? does now one know the 'desqueeze' ratio? i tried 1.6 but it doesnt work. 1.33 ratio seems to work fine. but can anyone say what is the recommended desqueeze ration? i use Leica SL2S and the L mount version of the full frame 75mm thanks Best Kannan

A: For best results content needs to be captured in 16:9 and then de-squeezed to an anamorphic 2.8:1 aspect ratio. we suggest the following compression 35 mm - 4K (16:9) 3840x2160 pixels (Sensor range: 6000 x 3368 pixels) 35 mm - Full HD (16:9) 1920x1080 pixels (Sensor range: 6000 x 3368 pixels)

I bought this lens after seeing numerous glowing reviews on Youtube, and am happy to report it lives up to the hype! As a professional photographer, my intention was to use this lens as a knock around lens possibly for travel or other fun stuff. After one casual use, this lens will make it's way into my professional rotation, in addition to the other stuff. I tested the lens on a Z8 and felt the lens balanced really well on the body. I consider the build quality to be very good having a very solid all metal (except the lens hood) feel. While I only did one brief shoot with the lens, the images it produced were exceptional with no CA, flare, and really good contrast and color. I have a number of Nikon S series lenses and I love every single one of those as well, however, the simple fact is this Viltrox lens punches way, way above its weight class. This is especially true when you factor in price; the list on a new version is a steel in the $550 ballpark (I didn't look up the actual price), but I bought a class 9 used version priced at $380! I felt like I was taking B&H's lunch money. This lens is a flat out steel at that price! A couple of last points: I feel the bokah adds to the special character of this lens that I just love. You should be aware of the FX vs DX difference and on any of the full frame Nikon bodies the focal length is something like 112 mm. Lastly, I'm sure that there are some drawbacks and cons that I haven't discovered yet, and the only one that I've seen is the AF is noticeably slower than my S glass. This is not a concern for me, but for those shooting in an environment where fast AF is necessary you may want to try the lens before buying.

From your friendly neighborhood film director who is an avid amateur not a pro photographer.

This glass sits on my X-T5 and takes some awesome images. Portraits are totally sharp with a silky bokeh. Landscapes are clean and bright. The edges hold well for me. Autofocus tracks fine. It's a little weighty but the X-T5 fits nicely in my hands without a grip so I'm super comfortable with it. At this price point this lens is a miracle.

Some silly nitpicks (and these are totally subjective)... I wish the aperture ring was more clicky. It eases in and out when stopping. I like the snap of the x100V lens. The autofocus switch feels like plastic (it is!) and doesn't snap as well. The focus ring also doesn't seems to represent the metal build of the rest of the lens.

These observations do not affect the imagery or even the overall experience. I just needed to be a little fussy or seem like a Viltrox/Fuji fanboy.

Conclusion... this lens is so smooth, it nears perfection (a 1.2!) If you have a Fujifilm X cam you should have this lens on it.

Viltrox does it again!

Long time aficionado of fast lenses and this lens, although not perfect, comes very close.

This lens is large and heavy and focus is ok, very similar in focus speed to the 56/1.2. It is exceedingly sharp, and somewhat flare resistant. Nice metal finish, although the plastic hood and lens cap are somewhat of a let down.

This is an excellent match to Fujis 40mpixel sensor, and possibly a better fit to the X-H2 due to its size. Performance is comparable to the 90/2 although working distance is somewhat limited.

I bought it and used it for a while. This lens gave me a good feeling for taking pictures. It is really good without purple fringing when it is turned on at 1.2. The price is really good news for consumers.

This pile of superb glass renders nothing short of razor sharp, color grabbing, contrast exuding, and gorgeously bokeh framed goodness. It certainly requires a bit of distance from your subject, but if that is no issue for you, then you'd be insane not to add this lens to your professional portrait lineup. This lens is also the best value I have ever seen. For the price, it is a no-brainer.

It’s crazy sharp that’s for sure, but not in an annoying way. I’ve mostly used a Mitakon 35mm f/0.95 the last few years and it has a distinct look and can be quite soft with a lot of field curvature. I was hesitant to get a lens I heard was so sharp but with a focal length like this I really needed autofocus. It’s crazy sharp but not in a way that looks pretentious. My style is still my style. I’ve put a black pro mist 1/8 filter on it which is nice but it’s giving me wonderful results.

The autofocus is good though I’m still getting used to using autofocus again. The aperture ring feels great and I love having one on any lens I use. It’s actually not as heavy as it looks. It definitely is big though. I use it on an X-T3 and it’s a behemoth. Doesn’t bother me though because it’s a telephoto prime. For more general purpose lenses I get bothered by large lenses but something that’s more specialized, that I wouldn’t just walk around with, it’s fine being large. I think for the price it’s just about the best lens of this focal length/use case that you can buy.

After buying and liking the Viltrox 13mm F1.4 APS-C lens I ordered this from B&H as it is pretty well unavailable in Canada in Z mount. The lens works fine on both my Z-9 in DX mode and my Z-30. Corners are sharp and the wide aperture makes for good subject isolation in situations with busy backgrounds. All AF modes work well.  Has a quality feel about it.
Shipping to my home in Chestermere Alberta was prompt and hassle free as usual with B&H.

I love the pictures I get out of this lens! The lens is affordable and weather sealed so I don't have to baby it too much. Offers faster AF than expected. I am not a portrait photographer but am sure this lens is highly capable for that!

After many reviews I decided to go with the Viltrox 75mm lens that I needed for my portrait shoots. I was not disappointed as the F1.2 gives my photos the dreamlike bokeh I love. This lens also gives me very sharp focus and produces beautiful photos. Overall, without getting technical this is a great lens for all my portrait needs.
