Setup was fairly easy; although, the manual instructions did not match the actual steps on my Windows 11 computer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got this to try to secure some files that I was a little uneasy having just sitting on a drive and in one of my cabinets.

This drive seems to be well built and easy to use. First thing I had to do is set up a new password and the directions were very simple to do so. The manuals are stored on the drive so I would suggest to copy them off the drive so you can access them more easily and understand the drive a bit more. It's not really complex to use so anyone should be able to use this drive.
Once I set up the password I was able to use this and move all my sensitive files to this drive and make sure they are very secured. I then tested it by giving my code to my family to access. They were able to gain access so I knew I was good. I was then able to remove the unsecured files off my laptop. I know have a little more peace of mine that my sensitive documents are secured and no one will be able to access them unless I give them the code and the drive.

I would recommend this drive to anyone looking for a little more security for their sensitive files and digital documents.

It was easy to set up both the user PIN and the admin PIN by following the video's on the brand website.They also provide a walkthrough video that explains the functions of the USB. Take care to remember your passcode, if the wrong admin PIN is entered wrong 10 times all of the data saved on the USB will be permanently deleted. This would be great to use for tax information, sensitive documents, or anything that could be linked to identity theft. Highly recommend!

He always looking for a superior way to store our important files and paperwork Incase of emergency and/or fire. He was able to scan all our physical copies and save them to the drive to not only free up space in our safe but provide extra security.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a drive to keep our tax information on, especially since our taxes involve more documentation than the average household. I will say that this seems a whole lot more complex than I was envisioning, especially once I saw the 34-page user guide. It was a bit daunting. It seems like there are 3 passwords total that can be used, one being a recovery password. It sounds like if I use the recovery password, it allows me to reset the main password. I have not purposely tried that method though. I do appreciate the option to have multiple passwords, just in case though. I am a little nervous that I will forget a password and get locked out, but I guess that is the risk I'm taking by having a password protected device.

At first glance, this seems to be protected only by it's ability to be assigned a rock solid alphanumeric passcode, but upon further inspection I realize how much deeper the security on this device goes. There's a physical coating within the device itself and on the surface of the keys, both adding a layer of protection against tampering and nefarious intentions. The keypad specifically, has a coating to hide key usage so that nobody can tell which keys have been pressed or used most often. This entire device is brilliantly designed, from the software to the hardware and encryption level, KingstonTech did not compromise on security!

This is a small light weight drive key that will hold a lot of information for you. The key itself is sturdy and does not stick out too far from the computer. I used it in my home PC and love that the secure information can’t be accessed without entering a pin on the key itself. I am in the process of putting all out important documents on this key! In an attempt to keep the number of failed logins as low as possible the software has a couple of useful features.
